If you have had the chance to speak to me beyond check-in & pick-up, you probably know my ultimate goal is to become a NCMG and compete in creative grooming in the future.

So.. what is competitive creative grooming?

It is a type of dog grooming competition where professional groomers showcase their artistic abilities by transforming their dogs into elaborate designs using creative sculpting, color, and character creation, essentially turning their dog into a piece of living artwork, with judges evaluating their skill and creativity in the process; it often involves techniques like intricate scissor work, dye application, and unique styling, going beyond standard breed cuts to create distinctive looks. 🩷

Senior dogs require special care & extra close attention during the grooming process for a multitude of reasons.

As pets age, they may begin losing senses they have relied upon such as vision & hearing, they may have health conditions that require a more gentle or even an unconventional approach for comfort.

It’s paramount to be educated in proper handling & care for our vulnerable clients to provide the best possible experience with the least amount of stress. 🩷
