Guinea Fowl ❤️ Our favorite species among our flock.

Tupac is healing from a broken leg, so I have the opportunity to bond with him on a more personal level during his rehab and until he’s ready to return to his “confusion” (seriously, a group of Guineas are called a confusion).

This is a bird of brute strength, even with a broken leg, yet he allows us to pick him up, clean his wounds, change his dressings and splint with little resistance. It’s as if he knows we’re here to help.

I will forever be fascinated by the misunderstood of the world and admire them for everything they are. ❤️‍🩹

Am I the only weirdo who stops and checks suspicious “rocks” on roads, parking lots, or sidewalks?

It is a common misconception that handling toads can cause warts. Warts are caused by the HPV virus, which toads do not carry. So don’t be afraid to move them to safety when necessary! 🐸 They play an important role in our ecosystem serving as both predator & prey.
