Mornings in Oakley before I start my 24 hour shift.
Yes, I have a regular job and work a min of 60 hours a week and up to 100 hour a week.
I personally appreciate the response to our need for basic supplies. The rescue environment is definitely changing and we are just trying to pivot as we go.
Just a reminder or two.
1. Our See's Candy fundraiser only goes to the thirty first of January to allow for shipping, and Easter Candy is right around the corner.
2. We still have lots of sweatshirts and t-shirts available.
Life is hard right now in the animal world, and we appreciate your support.
In just one week, both Pewee and Milo have shown remarkable improvement. They have not only gained weight but also increased their confidence since their arrival. It’s truly impressive what dedicated, round-the-clock care and medical management can achieve.
We were initially worried about Milo's kidneys, but fortunately, he seems to be doing well, which likely indicates that his issues stemmed from starvation. We plan to check his lab work in a week to establish a baseline for his future care, and we're feeling pretty optimistic about his progress.
Additionally, Milo and the other older pets in our care would greatly appreciate donations of Kirkland brand pate from Costco. If anyone can contribute, it would mean a lot to us. We are also still taking donations of cat kibble. Food can be delivered directly to the address provided or dropped off in the EBARR food bin at SAGE in Concord. Thank you!
*We can only share one video at a time so we added Pewee's video in the comments.

We are still raising money for that hefty still of his. He is well on his way to recovery and will be available for adoption soon!
