Thank you Lord for a beautiful day, for each participant, for every volunteer at camp, for every volunteer that keeps our facility looking nice and horses happy, thank you Jesus for all our staff, supporters, board members and advisors.

Camp activities included: learning how to groom their horse, learn parts of the horse, tack their horse, give their horse a bath, adaptive riding and even painting their horse. We harvested carrots we grew and fed them to the horses. We enjoyed lots of water breaks and had lunch together. We enjoyed time as a community and learned more about each other and our horses.

We are grateful for our summertime camp day retreat today for individuals with special needs and those navigating through grief.

It was a great day at the ranch!!! Happy Summer!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ We give all Glory to God! Thank you to Hayes Barton United Methodist Church Women for sponsoring this day retreat through the Community Grant Award!

Dirt and a dream. A God given vision, building a facility , programs, and non profit from the ground up. Thank you to all who believed in the very beginning, thank you to everyone who has ever given to us of your time, talent and/or treasure.

God has been so faithful. It has not been an easy road. A ministry out of many deaths that God could only give life out of. We have seen God’s beauty in the midst of so many ashes. We are grateful to serve our community. Jesus is enough. All praise, honor and glory to God! Thank you everyone for your support!

God has wonderful plans ahead and we are humbled to be part of it!! Welcome to our new friends and supporters!! We are grateful for you!!!

This past Thursday May 16, 2024 was our first ever Horse Show!It was truly one of the best days ever at the Ranch! It was a time of celebration, encouragement, and community. We celebrated our participants with a riding showcase where they got to show off their riding skills for their family and friends. We gave out ribbons and awards. We had a time of fellowship afterwards with pizza.

God’s love was on display through every person at the Ranch. There were SO many smiles! The weather was beautiful. The horses were incredible as always. Our horses are cherished team members that we are so grateful for who make our programs possible.

Thank you to our sponsors Spencer and Cynthia Smith and Publix! Thank you to our volunteers, donors, staff, family and friends of the participants, board members, and advisors! It takes many people to make Riverside Ranch possible! It was a great day!!

Thursday was also our last day of our Spring Fundraiser and we raised $14,137!!! We are so grateful for the generosity of many!!!

Every donation a blessing, every donation an answer to many many prayers. Every volunteer an encourager in a multitude of ways. Every participant that is part of the Ranch is divinely brought to us.

Jesus is leading. We are following His leading. God invites us to find refuge, retreat and reprieve in Him. We see Him in so many ways including through people, nature, horses and our community.

When I say we started with dirt and a dream then opened with a Portapotty and a pop up tent in 2020 I’m being honest❤️ oh man brings back all the memories. So grateful. So thankful. Only God and His Faithfulness through so many people!!

For individuals navigating grief, the Ranch is a place to look forward to. A positive experience in their life when they need it more than ever. Bullet and Beau had to show off their moves too!! FYI Bullet has a grazing muzzle on because he has to watch his calories and the grass! He can still eat just not as quickly!❤️

It was a great week for lessons! Benny had his first two official adaptive riding lessons on Tuesday. He did an amazing job along with our participants!

We are getting ready for our horse show on May 15th and we are so excited for our participants to show off their skills!!

Today would have been our beloved JaRule’s 22nd Birthday. JaRule is the only horse we have ever had at the Ranch that is registered and that we knew his birthday.

Beau, Bullet, Benny, and Bear are not registered and we don’t know their exact birthday so today we will celebrate all our horses birthdays! Beau is 25, Bullet is 19, Benny is 11, and Bear is 10. Benny and Bear had their first official
lesson yesterday!! 🎉🎉We have been working with them since they arrived and yesterday they were both shining stars and loved meeting our participants and volunteers!!

Benny and Bear came from a large facility with lots of horses so they also were on a strict quarantine for 30 days and are finally finished with that as of last Friday! They are healthy and happy!

Our horsemanship lesson yesterday included having one of our participants, Chris, design the obstacle course in the arena. Then Laney and Chris both took turns leading Benny through the course. We also enjoyed grooming our new horses and giving treats.

God truly answered our prayers with these sweet boys!!

We have a spring fundraiser we are launching soon to help us cover the costs of all our 4 horses for the next 6 months to bring more stability to our programs and our facility! Stay tuned!❤️❤️❤️❤️🐴🐴🐴🐴🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Happy Friday! What a beautiful sight this chilly morning! Even though we are closed for lessons for December and January we stay busy at the ranch! Thankful for many volunteers that come out each week to help us keep the ranch running!!❤️🐴💪🏻

Grateful for our annual Riverside Ranch Christmas party last night! Thankful for our authentic community that makes the ranch possible!

We enjoyed pizza, fellowship, we made Christmas cards for The Clayton House assisted living facility. Each of our participants in our Therapeutic Horsemanship Program received a handmade ornament. ❤️❤️❤️
