So it all started when I was shoeing horses in the Teanaway and met this young lady who worked and packed mules in the back country. How does it get any better than that? Many years later with two wonderful adult daughters, one grandson, and lots of miles in and out of the high country we decided to celebrate our 25 years of marriage with our own 5 days in the mountains by ourselves. Did a little riding, hiking, fishing, and cooking-Just the two of us. Thanks for all of the great times so far Michele, couldn't have even begun it all without you.

Just back from another great week in the mountains with Bill and Julie on a 5 day trip! Highlights included catching up with each other, plenty of saddle time (the horses and mules knocked it out of the park), checked out new trails, and swapped more stories in camp. We look forward to sharing more adventures with you both!

Summer is rolling right along but there is still lots of opportunity to ride with Three Peaks Outfitters this summer. Please check out our new website and book your next horseback adventure with us. We added a couple additional photos for a behind the scenes look at the irrigating, shoeing, and trail clearing that it takes to put together a packing outfit.

Sometimes you just to stop and take a photos of the memories that you experience as they happen. I wanted to just take a moment and capture our times spent with the Fudacz brothers Gary, Larry, and David as we have transported their cattle into and out of the Teanaway Valley for over 25 years and being lifelong friends felt that this memory needed to be captured. We always look forward to helping them with this every spring and fall.

We are gearing up for another great season! After sawing and moving 21 logs, the trail to Hour Creek is now open with only a few patches of snow left. Can't wait to ride with you!

The Washington Outfitters and Guides Association lost a larger-than-life proponent for the Outfitting industry earlier this month. Brian Varrelman was a staunch supporter for outfitting issues in the Pacific Northwest and across the western United States. Serving as President of WOGA on two different occasions, Brian brought a pragmatic approach when interacting with lawmakers and land managers both. Brian was instrumental in securing Special Use Permits for several WOGA members in the North Cascades of Washington State. Brian traveled to our nation's capital to champion backlogged trail maintenance, agency roadblocks, permit fee issues, and streamlining permit processes.
Brian will be remembered for his gift for making strangers feel at ease and for his willingness to give a helping hand to both friends and strangers alike. He will also be remembered for his love of music and poetry and the many times he performed during "Ride to Rendezvous" events put on by WOGA every spring.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at his brother Steve's shop, located a mile past Pateros, heading towards Brewster.
Brian, your ever-present cowboy hat, coffee mug, and hearty laugh will be sorely missed. We will see you down the trail my friend, on the other side of the divide.

A great Mother's Day weekend spent in the Methow Valley for the 49er Days Celebration. The Washington Outfitters and Guides Association held their annual Ride to Rendezvous and Packers Rendezvous and Mikaila represented Three Peaks in the Packing competition. Way to go Mikaila!

Celebrating Freedom with traditions old and new! We would like share our appreciation to this year's Pioneer Days Queen Julie Breznikar for having us es**rt her through the Pioneer Days Parade with our Belgian team John and Jimmy. We have been truly blessed with having fine teams of Draft Horses who can handle crowds and activities with both poise and a calm demeanor. Special thanks to Jim Fosset for the photo!

We are really thrilled to get these guys driven for the first time. We travelled back to North Dakota in September to get Doug and Roman. This team of Percheron geldings are super quiet and really nice to drive and they stand at a solid 19 hands. We can't wait for sleigh season to begin so we can get them out pulling like they are made to do.

Just another great day in the high country.

This set of saddle bags were left at the Cathedral Trailhead this past weekend. The only other stock rig was a White Dodge pickup with an aluminum trailer. Give us a holler if they belong to you.

Summer fun in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. From Half Days in the saddle to multi day Pack Trips. Book your ride with Three Peaks Outfitters today!
Our dream of running a professional outfitting business became a reality in the fall of 2001 when we had the opportunity to purchase Three Peaks Outfitters. Our very first ride was with two wonderful couples from the Seattle area who this year went on their 16th annual trip with us. From the day we started we have had one simple goal that we carry forward to this day:
"Provide the highest quality experience for our guests on great horses with quality gear and share our love of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and surrounding areas with all who join us on our trips."
Our family is deeply rooted and connected to our horses and mules. We take pride in you riding any of our horses, all of whom we enjoy riding ourselves. Quality stock are quite often the difference between a good ride and a great ride. We provide you with savvy horses that are in shape, healthy, and have a sparkle in their eye. As for our mules, we are very proud of them and think they are the best in the business (yes, we're biased here) and always get the job done.
The Alpine Lakes Wilderness simply speaks for itself. We are very fortunate to operate in country that has so much diversity and history attached to it. The wilderness requires an outfitter who will take the extra steps to minimize stock impacts and to leave the wilderness better than we found it. We are proud to be that outfitter.
So, as you consider what kind of trip you may be interested in, we would like to personally thank you for looking into the services we offer. We hope to see you with us on the trail.
