Providing horseback riding lessons, trail rides and more... Pistner's Muddy Acres Farm LLC is located in the northeastern end of Clearfield, Pa.

Tucked down in Brown Hollow named for a former resident of Milton Brown this farm gets its name from the ample amount of water and clay soil that it sits upon. The owners of the land through the years have ditched and landscaped it to make it what it is today. We still use the Muddy Acres name since it was given to the land by our business owner, Lynnette Pistner's grandfather back in the late 70'

s. Lets talk about the owner...
Lynnette Pistner has owned, trained, bred, rode and shown horses all of her life. Starting out with a black Appaloosa mare, Echo, that her grandfather gifted her when Lynnette was born. We still have Echo's descendants on the farm today. Lynnette has had the dream of having a business on the farm for many years. She has wanted to have a way of combining her love of teaching and horses together. This new business that opened in July 2023 makes that happen. Lynnette loves to teach and has been a Girl Scout leader and volunteer for over 20 years. She has also mentored and advised for other organizations through her years. We look forward to meeting you and letting you experience and learn about horses. Our lessons focus not just on riding but the whole horse and building up a persons horsemanship. "You have to know the horse before you can ride the horse"

What a thrill to take out students on a ride. Jill, Makayla, Mulisha, and Braylee went for a ride Saturday while the sun was shining. Jill's first on Milly, Mulishas second on Dillon and I lost track on Makayla and Braylee 🤣
Once students learn basic control our back country roads and trails become areas to learn as well.
Come learn and ride with us! Maybe you will be part of the next group to go!🤠

Take a moment and enjoy the snow. All the horses did this morning by rolling in the fresh snow. Of course I didn't have my phone but here's a pic of my early morning drive. Enjoy all and be safe.
As the weather allows we are still doing lessons and trail rides. ❄

Carl may be 27+ but he keeps going! He honestly loves his job. Most of our horses do! They come to the barn waiting to "punch in" for their shift! Here's Patty trotting away on Carl!

Little miss Raelynn out on her first ride on our good old Milly. Raelynn has been doing lessons and has worked herself up to going out on the trails. While up the road she had this to say...not prompted at all! So do you like trail rides? We offer trail rides for 16yrs and up or if you have done lessons with us trail rides become part of the lesson. Have a great weekend all!!!😁

What keeps you going??? A question asked by many where some have no answer. Since one of my students shared this to me I thought I would share it to all. Horses are so powerful in more ways then one can think. So...What keeps you going???

Moving right up!!! It's such a joy to watch these students learn and step up their skills. You all got to start somewhere! Mulisha started riding just over 2 months ago. Grow girl grow!!!🌠 Wanna join in on the growth?!?!

Raelynn and Carl

Step by step these students are learning! Good ole Carl teaching another one😁 He is no spring chicken but he loves his job and he loves kids. I wish I had another one like Carl. Raelynn stepping up her ride skills and being independent 🎉❤ Confidence building in process... Have a few spots left this week for lessons. Start something new🎆

Abigail found a new favorite on the farm! Don't tell Dillon but Taze is her new favorite🤣 Abigail has an English riding background but is working on learning more Western riding. I think these two are going to pair up well😁 Come find your riding partner with us!
