Located in Clearfield, PA Pistner's Muddy Acres Farm LLC is located in the northeastern end of Clearfield, Pa. Tucked down in Brown Hollow named for a former resident of Milton Brown this farm gets its name from the ample amount of water and clay soil that it sit

s upon. The owners of the land through the years have ditched and landscaped it to make it what it is today. We still use the Muddy Acres name since it was given to the land by our business owner, Lynnette Pistner's grandfather back in the late 70's. Lets talk about the owner...
Lynnette Pistner has owned, trained, bred, rode and shown horses all of her life. Starting out with a black Appaloosa mare, Echo, that her grandfather gifted her when Lynnette was born. Lynnette has had the dream of having a business on the farm for many years. She has wanted to have a way of combining her love of teaching and horses together. This new business that opened in July 2023 makes that happen. Lynnette loves to teach and has been a Girl Scout leader and volunteer for over 20 years. She has also mentored and advised for other organizations through her years. We look forward to meeting you and letting you experience and learn about horses. Our lessons focus not just on riding but the whole horse and building up a persons horsemanship. "You have to know the horse before you can ride the horse"

Ring toss fun in the ring tonight with Aubree and Trinity. This is not where the rings go girls!🤣

Peyton 😁 Teaching him patience and when the door is open it doesnt mean exit. Students are excited to ride him and the have a habit of leaving doors open or shut and unlatched. 🤦‍♂️ so this becomes a thing to teach...so when they go to get the bridle they forgot while tacking up he doesnt run off. Easier to teach the horse then all the kids, I think🤣

Carl may be 27+ but he keeps going! He honestly loves his job. Most of our horses do! They come to the barn waiting to "punch in" for their shift! Here's Patty trotting away on Carl!

Little miss Raelynn out on her first ride on our good old Milly. Raelynn has been doing lessons and has worked herself up to going out on the trails. While up the road she had this to say...not prompted at all! So do you like trail rides? We offer trail rides for 16yrs and up or if you have done lessons with us trail rides become part of the lesson. Have a great weekend all!!!😁
