We have 6 dogs who are fully Sponsored and ready for a forever home. Thanks to 2 very generous ladies who opened up their hearts and sponsored these babies so that they can find the loving home they deserve. Thank you Jill and Carolyn for your generosity. We appreciate it so much.
Brownie, Cobalt, and Mino are altered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to leave today. June, Hector, and Hank will need to be vetted before they can leave.

ADOPTED!

This handsome fella is Vin. He’s estimated to be about 2 years old and is a chonky boy weighing about 80lbs. He walks well on a leash and is fairly laid back. He does get the occasional zoomies though.
He has been at the shelter for 74 days and would love a home to call his own.
His adoption fee is $100. That covers his neuter, microchip , first distemper/parvo vaccination, and rabies vaccination.

S&S Little Soap Pleasures of Salt Lick, KY has donated a $100 gift card to whomever adopts Vin.

Miss Kira before and after being told she’s a good girl. 😁

Kira has been here at the shelter with us for 64 days. 😞
She is estimated to be about 2 years old, seems to get along with other dogs and walks well on a leash…although she might run if given a chance. A fenced in yard would be ideal for her. She would love a furever family to give her lots of playtime, treats and room to run.

Please stop in to meet Kira and all our other adoptable dogs.

We have some wonderful pets that need loving fur-ever homes. If you're looking for one this Christmas, consider adopting from the Tri-County Animal Shelter.

In previous years, we've had a "12 Dogs of Christmas" series of videos on the Rowan County Fiscal Court page encouraging adoption for those who have been thinking about adding a fur-ever friend to their family. This year, we're bringing it back and will be sharing videos of different animals at the shelter leading up to Christmas.

We will be back to normal hours tomorrow(11/27). All of our dogs and cats would love to have fur-ever homes for Christmas.

This sweet lady is Ursula. She’s estimated to be about 1 year old and is ready for a fur-ever home. She has already been spayed, received her first feline combo vaccine and rabies vaccine. She will be microchipped when she is adopted. Her adoption fee is $55. Please stop in to meet her and all the other adoptable cats/kittens. We also have dozens of dogs and puppies waiting for adopters. We are here 7 days a week, 8a-4p. We do normally close 12-1 for lunch.

Lizeth has been at the shelter for a couple of weeks. She’s an older girl (estimated to be about 10 years old). But she’s still very young at heart, loves all the attention she can get and canned food. She’s looking for a home where she can take it easy on the couch, have a favorite window to birdwatch, and get all the love her heart desires. If you are looking to add a feline family member, please consider stopping in to meet Lizeth.

ADOPTED!! Meet Fluffy! She’s around 10 years old, a sweet girl and definitely fluffy. She’s our longest feline resident being here since 4/15/23. She’d love to meet a forever family that will provide an unlimited amount of head rubs. We are open 7 days a week 8a-4p. Closed for lunch between 12-1. Her adoption fee is $55. She will be spayed, microchipped and get a rabies vaccination.
