Wow! The week went by fast! We cannot wait to share our newest episode with special guest, Aaron Guidroz from Guidroz Family Farm tomorrow at 7pm EST. We will be discussing biosecurity.

Yup dirt covered from head to toe but I wouldn’t have it any other way! Finally deep diving fall planting with the disruption of the back to back hurricanes. Strawberries and tomatoes started going in today!

Ever year we trial new tomatoe varieties as not many of them enjoy our climate. Seeds get started in September for Fall planting. I am a big lover of anything Wild Boar Farms and trial new seeds from them every year. Let me tell you what…the Napa Rose tomato is a badass. It tolerated extreme water, extreme drought, no shade cloth full sun, and they have already started fruiting. Finally getting them from their starter pots into the ground today! Looks like this variety will be a keeper for next year.

Our hurricane make up date is this Sunday Nov 17th . I opened up a few extra spots if anyone else wants to join us!

Locals, Our next dispatch class is Coming up Sept 28th @ 10am held at Amber Glen Farm & Equestrian Center. Spots are already filling and space is limited, we completely booked out our Spring event so don’t wait!

Come on down to the farm and learn about quail as a sustainable protein source that you can raise in your own backyard. Follow along as you learn proper dressing technique, ethical culling procedures, storage practices, & benefits of this versatile bird. Our instructors will be there to guide and support you with hands on instruction. All supplies included. You will take home two processed birds & supplies to get started at home.

Privit Senna-Native, beautiful clusters of yellow flowers, Perennial in Zone 9a-11, full sun, sandy well draining soil, larvel host for the Cloudless Sulpher Butterfly 🦋

Blackberry lily-Named after its black clusters of seeds, attracts pollinators, Perennial in Zone 5-10, fun cut flower, actually not a true lily but part of the iris family, 2 inch orange and crimson flowers with sword-like foliage.
