So I know it's wrong and teachers aren't supposed to have a favorite student but it's safe to say Luna takes the gold star out of the 3 stooges. Today they all learned "down" and she caught on super quick. She's such a love bug and a people pleaser ! Luna shows up and shows out for the camera , this was a first take video. She's happy to work and does a great job doing it. Look at her focus
Marshall used to chase and react to anything and everything on wheels. Bike's, scooters, golf carts you name it. Here he's going for a run with Scarza while I skate
Recently we've been working on Marshall's dog reactivity out in the neighborhood so last night we decided to switch it up and head to Lowe's for a public outing. Marshall did great in a public setting with a bunch of new smells, people and distractions
A little side by side work with Marshall and Scarza today
Playing with puppies is always fun. The sharp teeth and scratches are always with it 😁
Side by side heeling yesterday
Marshall and Scarza yesterday on their first outing together in public. Using Scarza playing ball as a distraction for him. Even though he wants to play too, he did very well holding his down stay and obeying his commands
Saw this cutie out and decided to say hello as well as use her as a distraction for Marshall
Marshall and I always get a little play sesh in before we have to get serious
Marshall is getting better and better
So we all know Marshall is very dog reactive and does not do well in situations like this. Before i took over handling him and we made this video, he was throwing a fit like a kid in a candy store that doesn't get what they want. Barking aggressively, not listening to commands what so ever and blowing off his parents completely and making a scene. Marshall was so frustrated to the point where he almost turned on his parents because they wouldn't give in for his terrible behavior. This situation right here is not easy to deal with and usually something his parents would avoid completely which i can't blame them or anyone who has problems like this for doing. Changing their route to stay away from the "embarrassment". Going out in public with a highly reactive dog is never a fun time if you don't know how to handle the situation and since this was our first time out in public this is something we haven't really gotten to work on yet. People tend to panic and not have a way out. The only way to deal with hard situations is to work through them and overcome the problem. This was far from perfect but it is a huge step in the right direction.
Just a reminder it CAN be done !
Working Marshall out around the neighborhood.
Marshall has learned all his commands on leash as well as learning place. We're now working on his off leash skills and starting to become hands free without being tied to the leash
Some of Pablo's first puppy lesson. Teaching him how to respond to his name along with some manners .
No dog is too young to start shaping! Sign your puppy up today 😁
Saylor just learned stay and has already given her mom conplete focus with a full 360
Molly just learned stay yesterday . I was able to get some distance farther than her leash would allow me. She stayed perfectly and kept eye contact the whole time ! Her focus is on point and she even has the head swivel down
Marshall showing off his skills
