Check out this Winter Months Special! All adoptions are only $25 through January and February!

We're open Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from Noon to 4 p.m.

City of Cleburne facilities and offices will be ๐œ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐“๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐š๐ฒ, ๐‰๐š๐ง. ๐Ÿ— due to the predicted inclement weather and dangerous road conditions.

๐Ÿ—‘ Trash pickup routes are ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐œ๐ก๐ž๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ง on Thursday, Jan. 9. However, there may be delays, so the Sanitation Division is asking all residents to put bins on the curb as usual until the trash is picked up. Trucks will run as many routes as road conditions allow to get back on schedule.

๐Ÿ›ฃ Public Works crews will continue to be on standby to treat public roadways and maintain city services.

๐Ÿšจ Police and Fire crews will remain on schedule for emergencies. If you know someone who may need assistance or a wellness check, please contact police dispatch at 817-645-0972.

๐Ÿงก The lobby of the Cleburne Police Department, located at 302 W. Henderson St., will serve as a warming center for those who need temporary relief from the cold weather. The lobby will offer a warm and dry environment with access to restrooms. You can find more temporary shelter and other social services at www.findhelp.org.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support youโ€™ve shown through your generous donation to the Happy Tails Fund! Your kindness helps us provide essential care and medical treatment for the animals at Cleburne Animal Services.

Moustache, a sweet 4-6 week old kitten, came to Cleburne Animal Shelter with an injured leg. The cause of the injury was unknown. He was seen by Nolan River Animal Hospital on Friday, Dec. 6. While no breaks were found, the swelling required his leg to be placed in a splint. At his follow-up appointment on Monday, Dec. 9, the Vet determined Moustache has little to no feeling in most of his foot and recommended a leg amputation. Because of your compassion, Moustache was able to get the surgery he needs to save his life!

We would also like to thank Nolan River Animal Hospital for getting Moustache's surgery done so quickly!

Cleburne Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter and animal control facility serving residents of the City of Cleburne. Our mission is to provide animal related services to the City of Cleburne residents, promote pet adoption and spay/neuter, and educate the public on responsible pet ownership all while providing excellent customer service. The services we provide include, but are not limited to:


  • Impound and sheltering of stray, unwanted, or abandoned animals

  • Bite investigations and Rabies control

  • Enforcement of City ordinances and State Laws regarding animals
