Thinking about decorating your house for the Holidays and installing a Christmas or Holiday tree? Then follow these safety guidelines so your pets have a Safe & Happy Season as well.

✔️ Don't share holiday meals & foods with your pets. Varying from their normal diet can cause upset stomachs, diarrhea and even very serious illness that could require hospitalization or surgery such as pancreatitis or GI obstructions.

✔️ Supervision is Key: Always supervise your pets around the Christmas tree to prevent any attempts at chewing or playing with ornaments. If you're unable to supervise, consider placing the tree in an area that can be easily closed off.

✔️ Avoid Edible Decorations: Exercise caution with edible decorations such as chocolate or candy canes, as they can be harmful and potentially lethal if ingested by your animals.

✔️ Real Tree Caution: If you opt for a real tree, safeguard the water in the tree stand. Toxic sap can form in the water, emitting an attractive scent to curious noses. Cover the tree stump and water with foil and a sturdy tree skirting to block access.

✔️ Address Wiring Hazards: Ensure light wiring is out of reach to prevent potential electrocution. Curious mouths may be tempted to nibble on bulbs, posing the risk of both electrocution and intestinal blockage.

✔️ Out of Reach Decor: Place decorations out of reach to deter pets from playing with or knocking them over, preventing potential injuries such as mouth or throat cuts and intestinal blockages.
