Our April 6 show is going to be fun. We have entries coming in and the weather looks great. I need a scribe for dressage and we pay for that job. Message the page if you’d like to help out.

We had the most incredible “golden hour” at the farm this evening. Sunset looking east with a darkening sky behind the trees. Those leaves aren’t yellow, it’s the brilliance of the setting sun.

Hello Oxer Farm friends. Our page is back on FB and we're planning another great season of schooling shows for 2024. We'll be posting dates here once our schedule is set.

In the meantime, after a long time with no vacancies for boarding, we have a couple of spots opening in December for well behaved mares or geldings with great owners! We're a no drama facility with 30 years of hands on care for the horses who live here. Whether you're an active rider or retired with a wonderful older horse, we'd welcome your inquiry.
Check in with a PM here or contact Sandra Carnet via email at [email protected]

OxerFarm Calendar 2020

AUGUST 22 SHOW MOVED TO SEPTEMBER 5.
Prolonged heavy rains and wind on Thursday and Friday required us to reschedule our August show.
THE NEW DATE IS SEPTEMBER 5
Most of our entered riders are moving their entries to the new date but it's possible we may have a few openings for new entries. We've set a new closing date of August 27 and will fill any openings that come up.
Here's the link with all the info:

We have two arenas: a full-sized competition stadium jumping arena that accommodates amoeba through prelim level fences; and a full-sized dressage arena. Our cross country course features natural and purpose built obstacles, none higher than Beginner Novice.

Our June 27 show is going to be a great success! We are full as of today and will not be taking additional entries from this point forward. We are not able to create a waiting list as we've done in the past seasons. So, if you didn't get in, then hopefully you'll be able to come join us on July 18. I will publish an entry status here by tomorrow morning listing all confirmed entries. Thanks for supporting us and continuing to show with us. Stay well! Go riding!

Oxer Farm friends. We are making plans now for our
June 27 show and are now taking entries. However, there are several changes involving our show season which will be reflected in our edited calendar on the Oxer Farm website.
Here is a summary of the schedule changes:
First - The most significant short term change is that we will NOT run cross country at the June show. The June show will be a CT and Dressage show, as will the July show.
Second - Both August and September shows will be CT, Three Phase and Dressage.
Third - We will conclude our season in September with only four shows total on our schedule for the year. Our series championship rules will be revised accordingly.
Finally, in view of health and safety concerns from COVID-19 there will be a number of modifications to our ground rules and format and new guidelines we will be using to be in compliance with GDCTA rules for schooling shows that we have received this week. I will have full information out to our show email list very soon and new forms and releases will be available on our website by the end of May. Hope you all are doing well and we are excited about opening up in June. Stay well! Go riding!

04/13/2020

Friends of Oxer Farm. We have decided to cancel our schooling show on May 16. We have a few entries in hand but feel that the concerns over COVID-19 continue to be top of mind and feel that it would be inappropriate to go forward with this show. Our June show remains on the schedule but we will evaluate the status of that show depending on how things improve going forward in the month of May.

I will be looking for another date during the late summer to replace the May show and I will put that on the calendar as soon as we decide.

Thank you all for continuing to support our shows. We wish you the best for the spring. Stay well and feel good! Hug your ponies.

Hello friends of Oxer Farm. Another day and a mandatory shelter in place order from the Governor. We are taking this seriously and are closing the farm to outside visitors until the Governor announces an end to mandatory isolation.
Our May 19 show is still on the calendar at this point and we will reevaluate the status of that event before the end of April.
We wish all of you good health and hope that you are able to ride and be with your horses and it's nice to tune out the noise and focus on family.

03/24/2020

Hello friends. Time to catch up from what started as a normal off season and is certainly finishing up with some unexpected events. We are all well at the farm and hope the same for you and your families.
Our show schedule is in place and you can check it out on the calendar page of our website. Given the events of the last month and the cancellations across the sporting industry, we are certainly considering what the status of our May 19 show will be. We will make a final decision about holding that show one month out - or April 19. GDCTA is evaluating the status of its shows in early May and they have not reached a determination about them at this point. We are going to follow their lead and be prudent based on the situation in a few weeks time. We are also considering a reformat over two days and/or limiting entries so as to reduce the number of people on the grounds. But time will tell if we have to make any decisions along those lines. I already have some entries in hand. So send yours in if you want to come to that first show.
We are wishing all of you good health and strength in navigating the days ahead. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me via text or email if you have any questions.

It's fall festival time in Georgia and Clermont Days, with parade and fun-run is on the same day as our September show. Main Street will be closed for the parade from 9:45 a.m. until roughly 11:30. And there is a fun run that morning starting around 8:30 which will intermittently close Main Street.
Since most of you arrive well before 8:00 a.m., there shouldn't be a problem, but I'm recommending that if you reach us via Hwy 129 either from the north or south, you should use Hwy 52 to get to Kenimer Road. That means you'll turn off well before you get to Clermont and avoid the festival parade traffic altogether. The time difference is minimal and may actually be faster. Check it out on your GPS. If you have any concerns or questions, call, email or PM.
