I named my service Paternal Pet Care because I feel a paternal connection to my own dog and the many I interact with every week. My wife and I have owned and loved dogs since we were little. Together we adopted a 3-month-old pup named Tesla from Last Day Dog Rescue in Michigan in 2014 and a 2year old pup named Jacob in 2016. Safety is always of the utmost importance. I believe one of the things th
at sets me apart from my competitors is continuing education. I always want to bring the best to my clients and ensure that their pets are being taken care of by a professional, educated pet sitter! I have been certified in pet CPR & First Aid since 2015 and a Certified Professional Pet Sitter since 2017. The CPPS Certified Professional Pet Sitter™ designation encompasses both educational and ethical components to ensure pet owners when they choose a pet sitter with this designation they're getting the very best in the industry. I know how important obedience is to a happy and healthy dog and home. We have attended puppy socialization classes and continue to take positive reinforcement training. Every dog I sit for will learn basic commands such as sit, stay, wait, release (from sit & wait), come, and leave it using positive reinforcement and clicker training. I will also be happy to work on any other commands you have taught them. Volunteering at South Lake Animal League and helping with several events providing information about the rescue and handling the dogs we bring to show off. Volunteering for a rescue every week has helped me understand how important the treatment of these animals are and how even with showing just a little bit of love and attention can bring out the best in them. If you would like to know more about me or the services I offer, please feel free to let me know.
