We will be at the Urban Harvest Mkt tomorrow, Saturday 730-noon. We have enjoyed the break over the past 4 wks, but need to get back. Come visit us please! We will have heirloom tomatoes, sweet potatoes, zucchini and more. The urban harvest farmers market is located in the parking lot at the St. Johns school, corner of Buffalo speedway & Westheimer.

We got pretty lucky with Beryl, but our tomatoes took a hit. Our crews have been struggling to get everything back in order. (Shout out to our farm staff!) No power expected till next week, if then? We have a few generators, but not enough. No farm share deliveries this week. Thanks for understanding!

Our Farmers Mkt , Urban, Harvest, is giving away 500 tote bags at their information booth this weekend. The tote bags are designed by local artist Carlos Hernandez. In order to get a bag, customers need to sign up for the Urban Harvest email list. The farmers market is located on Saturday morning at the St. John’s school parking lot, corner of Buffalo, Bayou, and Westheimer in Houston.

Homeschool moms are you looking for an outing? We think we have just the spot! Come out to our farm and pick some strawberries before it gets too hot. We are located approximately 30 minutes north from Kingwood and 30 minutes east of Conroe. Our address is 270 Pine Valley Rd., Cleveland, TX 77328. We had about 30 families from Liberty County homeschool moms group today and they all seemed to really enjoy the farm. For more info call/text 713-876-8645. Prices are a $2 per person entry fee and $6 per pound for the strawberries you pick. We will open every day this week at 10 AM and close at 2 PM, unless otherwise noted. We are open today, Saturday till 5pm or picked out! Self serve directions for U-Pick strawberries. After you enter the gate and veer to the left. you drive up to the gray house and see our directions sign. Grab yourself the number of buckets/bags you need, go, pick, come back to the house, weigh and pay. We are open today, Wednesday till 6 PM. Raw weather today in the field. Thanks to our crew we transplanted almost 4000 combined broccoli and cauliflower. Hopefully we will get irrigation on them before the 40 mph wind gusts suck all of the life ( aka moisture) out of them.

Could tomorrow, Sunday be the best day of the spring to pick strawberries? The lows are forecast near 50 and the highs in the low 80s with lots of sunshine. We also have LOTS of ripe berries So the farm will be open tomorrow, Sunday for strawberry picking. The fields are dry, but the road driving to them can still be a little muddy; don’t drive your Maserati. Times will be 10am till 2:30 PM. Follow the berry trail signs and take the fork to the left after you enter the gate. STOP at the gray house to check in and get your basket. Berries are $5 per pound. Finally finished strawberry planting. YAY! Weather depending, we hopefully begin picking in February

Got about 800 lettuce seedlings in the ground Friday. Trying to keep them from drying out via sprinklers. The wind has been horrific since getting them transplanted. They seem happy though!

Picked about 400 ears of sweet corn today, so we will be ready for your barbecue outings this weekend. We will have field grown tomatoes as well.Come visit us at the urban harvest farmers market Saturday, June 4 8 AM till noon.
