Mila the German Shepherd is a quick study.
🐶 Mila is with us for a 4 week board and train. Here for some dog reactivity issues and the need for socialization, she has come a long way in a short time. Our trainer Kayla uses her dog Melee to help with the training... he is quite the "teachers pet" 😂.
🐕 Wyatt has been part of the RSK9 family since he was a puppy. Now he comes to us once a week for day training. He is so well trained, we basically just make up stuff to do now 😂.

🧨 Marker training with 🫐 BLUEBERRY
🤔 I find that a lot of dog owners struggle with teaching their dogs a marker word like "YES". By charging 🧨 the marker we mean: a word or a sound is followed by➕ food reward 🍖, and soon your dog becomes "Classically Conditioned" to respond because of 🧠 dopamine production in the brain.•

1) MARK: YES or CLICK before you move. Be still, only move your mouth.
2) MOVE: After the marker is heard you may move to reward your dog.
3) PAY: Reward your dog with food.
💥 A "MARKER" is important because it marks a moment in time associated with a specific behavior. In this video I go over how I charge the marker, and apply it to teaching 🫐 Blueberry a down.
✨ Tapping into, REFLEXIVE RESPONSES 💥
1) Classical Conditioning; 🦮 The term classical conditioning refers to the process of an automatic, conditioned response that is paired with a specific stimulus. "The Clicker".
2) Opposition Reflex; 🦮 a dog's semi-conscious reaction to physical pressure, such as when you pull or push them. "I pull the puppies away from the food, and they push forward back to the bowl of kibble.

The VERY FIRST ☝🏻 thing I do when raising and training a dog is charge the marker with dynamite! I want my dogs to do every single behavior with all their heart and soul in it. This CLICKER will be an extremely valuable tool for the puppies new owners.

Gator and Harley are both dogs that came to us with some pretty serious reactivity issues. Before coming to us for training,they both had horrible experiences at prevous vet visits. We set a foundation of obedience, then began Vetrinary desensitization training. Since training with us, their Veterinarian and their owners, reported that their last vet visit was the best experience they've ever had.
GOT "CLICKER"?

🦮 We've been clicking our puppies to their food for a couple weeks. Now we are seeing the beginning of what is known as "Classical Conditioning". The click sound will generate a REFLEX RESPONSE in the dog; whereby an automatic, rapid, and involuntary response to a stimulus is created.
The response we are looking for with the dogs we train is coming to the trainer for food when the "ClICK" or "YES" marker is heard.
🤔 What is your dog's processing time? Does your dog's wheel spin on buffer after a command is given?

📚 Latency is the delay before a transfer of data begins following an instruction for its transfer.

👉🏻In this 3 second video you can watch this Malinois down in a split second. She needs very little processing time and you can see the dog LOVES this behavior. It all comes down to how you taught the behavior and how it has been rewarded?
