Next weekend! Magnolia, TX
We got called yesterday to go catch a completely unhandled stud and a mare. We got them collected and trailered back to the barn. We are needing financial supporters for these two! They have rain rot, need Coggins, teeth floating, castration, pregnancy check, wormer, farrier, and shots! Overall cost is looking like it'll be close to a thousand. Farm call is 85, teeth floating is 100 per horse, 50 each for Coggins, castration is likely around 300+ and shots are going to be probably around 300 each as well. Will update prices when the quote from the vet comes back.
Anyone who can help financially would be greatly appreciated. We are always needing more sponsors and donations to help these animals. Please share and help add your can. Even 5 dollars helps!
This is what life is about
Well woke up to Jolene laying down and all I could see was her legs out straight. Made me think she was dead and I panicked! I yelled out her name as I flew around the corner. She got up but was filthy like she had been rolling. Got her up and went to fill the water for Jack and feed him and she was laid down again this time up against the fence. So I had to roll her over and get her up. By the time I went inside and grabbed my stuff to give her the colic cocktail, I came out to her laying again. So now we're walking. Keep her in your thoughts guys and gals. π₯°
Nyx up for grabs. Early 3 yr TB filly who likes to jump. Her (and my) first time doing jumps. She did great. Wonderfully disposition, sweet and fun, UTD on everything, and still growing!
Hey y'all! My trip for July got moved to the end of August! I'm available all of July for appointments. Be sure to check back in with me if you've been on vacation for June. Also I'll be scheduling another clinic. What would you ask want me to cover in the upcoming clinic?! Let me know what obstacles y'all are trying to overcome and I'll help you get where you and your horse need to be. Thank you! Picture for attention. It shows how the frog helps circulate blood flow. This is helpful in remembering that hoof health is extremely important! Make sure your horses are on a good schedule for their trimming π
π Nyx was introduced to jumps today! She did remarkably well considering she's only 2-3 and not done them before! Hunter jumper prospect??? π
P.S. This is out of my scope of practice lol. I have not taught this before so nevermind me making mistakes. We got to learn together today! Normally I'm on the horse and teaching it jumps because we're trail riding or something. We both had fun today and I laughed so much during it. We spent an hour learning about it, walking over, getting up to that height, adding speed... These are just clips from her successful ones. We had a lot of whoopsies including me needing a longer line ππ€·πΌββοΈ great job Nyx. We nailed it today!
We do things a little different 'round here. Ethan is getting his lesson but it's hot! So I let him borrow my Cool Fanz and he was jamming to music with his own personal cooling system. He's doing wonderful and Jolene is such an angel! So happy she puts up with my shenanigans π
