We seem to know every corner of the Colosseum perfectly but there are, fortunately, some areas still relatively little known to the general public which, after major renovations, have recently become accessible to all.

One of these areas is the "intermediate gallery" which is nothing more than a distribution corridor, functional for accessing the upper floors of the Colosseum. A covered passage which allowed, through a series of flights of stairs, to reach the third order of the Amphitheater; from here it was possible to enter and take a seat in the media cavea or climb further up to the highest levels of the building.
