Woody, Scarlett, Cooper and Carmen are adorable and available to adopt. They arrived into our care the first week of November at seven weeks of age. Since taking them in they have started their vaccination booster and moved into two different foster provider homes while we match them with a forever adopter. Could it be yours?

We love getting updates from our adopters! Former Secondhand Lucy Lou found herself the perfect forever home way back in 2008!

"She is still with me! Adopted in 2008. And 17 this year! We entered jog for dogs 2024 in honor of her 18 year old sister Zoe that passed away. We walked :) and she won cutest senior contest! She is Zoe and my adventure buddy for over 16 years!! No one can believe how old she is! I tell them I have the paperwork to prove it! Thank you every day for what you do and for her!"

We are so happy to provide the update DeeDee moved back into a home with her foster caretakers. She has a follow up appointment with Dr Liz at HeartLand Mobile Veterinary Service next week. Her ears and eyes have returned to tgeir former healthy status after a long and scary time fighting for her life.

CUYAHOGA FALLS AREA….We need your help!

One of our adoptable dogs (not listed online) who has been recovering from her spaay surgery in a foster provider home was admitted to the ER this morning with a rare but treatable condition.

We are seeking a volunteer to pick up pre-paid medicine TONIGHT in Cuyahoga Falls before 9 pm and transport it to Metropolitan Animal Emergency Clinic in Highland Heights.

Introducing Ella, a 4 year old Doberman Pinscher, we placed into a foster home last month then found out during a routine medical exam that she is heartworm positive. The approximate cost to treat heartworms in one dog, including hospitalization, medications, x-rays, blood work and vet office visits most often exceeds $1000…for just one dog.

Now we have a bone to pick with you this holiday season! When you pick a bone from our Secondhand Mutts giving tree located in the lobby of The Mutt Hutt and make a donation, you will be supporting treatment for Ella whose treatment is sponsored through The Extra Mile program.

With the support of our amazing donors, we are able to help heartworm positive dogs like Ella. We are grateful to our medical team at HeartLand Mobile Veterinary Servicee and Greystone Veterinary Hospital + Urgent Care for providing compassionate service for all of our dogs.

Lobby hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9 am to 6:45 pm located at 2603 Scranton Road in Cleveland, Ohio open until Dec 22nd. Can’t make it in person or would prefer to donate directly? Click on the link below, which will take you to our online donation page.
