🐾 **Good Dog of the Week: Pomerian!** 🐾
We're thrilled to announce Pomerian as our Good Dog of the Week! This adorable Pomeranian stole our hearts the moment he arrived with a penchant for leash biting. Through dedication and positive reinforcement, Pomerian has made incredible strides—now mastering commands like 'sit' and 'shake' with enthusiasm and charm! Pomerian's transformation is a testament to the power of patience and love in training. Congratulations, Pomerian, you've earned your spot as a shining example of perseverance and progress in our furry community!🎉🐶😺
This is the current state of our shelter!!!
You may have seen our previous posts: We are currently far beyond our humane capacity after taking in 20 dogs from 2 separate neglect cases. More than ever, we need fosters and adopters!
We have made multiple posts that have gone unanswered. We do understand that some of the community is unable to help when it comes to adopting or fostering, but there are other ways to contribute.
We can not continue at this capacity without your help. We are completely out of space- even for truly sick, injured, abused, and abandoned dogs (though we will never turn them away).
Our next request is a temporary solution to the crisis. We are in desperate need of LARGE pop up crates (42"). Our dogs need to be able to stand up and turn around comfortably during their time here. If you have one lying around or would like to donate one from our wish-list, we (and the dogs) would greatly appreciate it. Simply click the link below!

No appointment needed to foster or adopt. We are open to the public Tuesday-Saturday from 12pm to 5pm!
‼️ URGENT ‼️ WE NEED FOSTERS AND ADOPTERS ASAP! We are 20 dogs over capacity with pop up crates everywhere. Our small team and volunteers are working extremely hard to care for all of the cats and dogs in our care, but it is increasingly difficult to give them the attention they need and deserve. Please help! We are open 12pm to 5pm Tuesday-Saturday, no appointment needed to foster or adopt. 💔🐱🐶
🐾 Urgent call for Fosters! Can you open you heart and home to a dog in need?🐾
Dear Community,
We are currently 20 dogs over Capacity and in desperate need of fosters!🐶❤️ Due to unforeseen circumstances, we found ourselves in a situation where we need temporary homes for these precious pups. Fostering saves lives and makes a huge difference in the lives of these dogs who desperately need our help. These sweet pups are currently having to live in pop up kennels all around the shelter. A shelter without popups is not a suitable place for them to live but even more so with pop ups. We are pleading the community for help!
We supply everything you will need to foster an animal.
To foster please come in person or apply online at : www.spcabctn.org/take-action
Come say hiiiii to our sweet pups at Petco on Paul Huff today until 3pm. You can give them pets and love and maybe find your new family member!
Straylight Savings
⏰Time to Spring Ahead for "Straylight" Savings!
🐾In addition to setting your clocks ahead one hour, now is also a good time of your to #checkthechip on your beloved pet!
🥲We’ve all experienced the heartbreak of pets entering our shelter systems with microchips, only to find they are registered to disconnected numbers or out of date ownership info.
🐱This time of year is a great opportunity to make sure your animals microchip is updated to the correct contact info should they ever go missing!
Huge THANK YOU to our pals at Appalachian Animal Clinic and Taylor Animal Hospital for sponsoring angel trees and for all of their clients who donated to us! You are such animal lovers and we appreciate everything you do.
We cannot serve the homeless animals of our county without your support and donations and we are thankful for each and every one of them.
Shamless request-if you would still like to make a donation of either an item or money to support our operation, please go to: https://www.spcabctn.org/donate
Thank you again, Appalacian and Taylor!!
Thank you to Taylor Animal Hospital for including some of our sweet animals on your Angel Tree!
An organization like ours counts on donations to continue serving these sweet creatures and we are truly grateful to Taylor and to all that continue to help!
Jades Collars and More donated so many amazing handmade collars to the SPCA!
