The mission of the Cleveland Division of Animal Care and Control is to reduce the number of stray and unwanted animals by enforcing City animal ordinances and connecting residents to low-cost spay & neuter services. In addition to helping animals in need, the Cleveland Division of Animal Care & Control (CACC) responds to complaints, enforces ordinances, picks up stray animals, and reunites lost pe

*** MICROCHIP YOUR PETS ***

This dog ran after a deer and had been missing for 5 days. This guy was really smart, hanging out in very opens areas until with multiple officers we were able to push him into a neighborhood and safely capture him.

We scanned him for a chip, info was current and he was only a few blocks away from home!

We were able to return him to his owner who was very happy and thankful and we were glad we didn’t have to bring him back to the overpopulated kennel.

Did you know you can come in during hours and get your dog microchipped for only $25?! More info in the comments!

🐾 here is a happy reunion story! Kianna went missing last month. Her owners immediately reported her missing and shared her photos all over social media. They never stopped sharing and they never gave up hope. Fast forward to tonight. A Good Samaritan called us at Cleveland Animal Care & Control because they found a very skinny and thirsty dog hiding in their shed. Our animal control officers came to pick her up and immediately recognized her because of all the photos shared on social media. We contacted her owners and they came right away to pick her up! This is what it is all about! 🐶❤️

Here is a small glimpse of what we do here at animal care & control. This was a stray dog that found shelter on someone’s front porch. They called us for help. We picked him up, held him for 3 days, he was never claimed, so he was assessed and went up for adoption. Now named Yoshi, he is still waiting for his forever home.
