We manage the Rocky River Stables and provide english riding lessons, therapeutic riding, horse boarding and educational tours.

🌸 Another Spring Schooling Show in the books! We hosted our annual Spring show this past weekend and it was a beautiful day. We are so proud of all of our riders that participated - everyone rode wonderfully and looked fantastic!

As always, a very special THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers, caretakers, donors, judge, parents, and of course - our school horses. This event would not be possible without you! 🐴

Santa & Mrs Claus paid us a visit! 🎅🎄🤶 Wishing all of our friends & family a wonderful holiday from VRI. Our schoolies are enjoying some (well deserved!) time off to relax & recharge, and look forward to seeing our students again in a couple of weeks! 🐴

All of our schoolies have officially made it on “the nice list”! 🎅 Our school horses are truly the backbone of our programs, and they have worked hard all year – even if there were a few shenanigans along the way! 😉 Each horse is patient, kind, tolerant, and has a sense of humor. Another Lauren Ball Tisdale clinic in the books! We are so grateful to have Lauren hosting lessons for our boarders at VRI every month. Everyone works hard and learns so much, and Lauren truly adapts her style of teaching to meet the needs of every horse & rider. We can’t wait for the next one! 🐴

Another beautiful week here at the barn! On Tuesday nights at Rocky River stables, we provide weekly therapeutic activities to children and adults with various disabilities.

Therapeutic Riding is more than just sitting on a horse. The movements and shape of the horse allow tight, spastic muscles to relax to improve posture and balance. The horse can lend its strength and abilities to the rider.

We hosted our annual Fall Schooling Show this past weekend, and it was a great success! Congratulations to all of the riders who participated — we are very proud of you! And we are very thankful for the beautiful weather we had 🍁☀️

VRI (typically) hosts two schooling shows a year to provide our students with an opportunity to experience what a horse show is like. We have classes for beginners-advance students, as well as classes specifically for our Therapeutic Riding Program riders. Everyone always learns a lot and we have a lot of fun!

This event would not be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers, caretakers, parents, donors, judges, and of course, our school horses. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a special day for all!

These chilly fall mornings really make us appreciate our beautiful indoor arena! Our indoor sand arena is 200′ x 60′ – with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their ride.
