Don’t you just want to give Brahma a kiss on his sweet and squishy face? 😘

Meet Brahma, a 5-year-old big boy with an even bigger heart! He may be 95 pounds but he’s a huge softie on the inside. Brahma went on a field trip with a volunteer last week and proved he is, indeed, a good boy! This guy was up for anything, doing well in the car, on walks, and visiting a nature center. He’s a pretty chill dude!

Another thing Brahma enjoyed were the naps he took between all of the fun. He’s very mellow and will remind you to take it easy. Brahma is super friendly to everyone he meets and has done well with other dogs. As you can see, he looks great in the home and can’t wait to be someone’s gentle giant.

There’s nothing sour about this Vinegar, only sweet. 🥰

Vinegar is a 2-year-old pretty Pittie who’s ready to add a little extra flavor to your life! She’s a loving, playful pup who adores people and always has a smile on her face. Whether she’s showing off her adorable sweater or wagging her tail non-stop, she’s guaranteed to steal your heart.

This more petite 45-pound pup is the paw-fect mix of snuggly and spunky – ready for an adventure but just as happy curling up for cuddles. Vinegar is super playful and loves to interact with people, especially if pets or treats are involved. She’s eager to learn and walks well on leash. There is nothing but fun to be had with Vinegar around!

These ears pick up compliments from miles away! 🙉✨

Meet Inky, a 1.5-year-old little lady who lights up any room she enters. She spent some time in a foster home where they learned she is the most lovable pup. Whether you’re gone for five minutes or a few hours, prepare for the happiest and wiggliest welcome home!

Inky likes to channel her fun energy into chew toys, one of her most favorite things. She’s always ready for a walk and is a good girl on leash. Inky is very smart, knowing basic cues and is house/crate trained and is likely dog-friendly. Her other favorite thing is being around her person and snuggling on the couch. Inky is a pro at making sure you feel loved with her puppy kisses and even hugs.

This Valentine’s Day week, our fabulous feline friends have a message for you: it’s time to adopt a dog! Our adoptable cats are trying their best to be supportive of their doggy friends the best way they know how – with a touch of sass.

All dressed up and ready to steal your heart! 💘

Meet Sabrina, a seriously cute 7-year-old Boxer mix who is as sweet as she looks. She’s a dainty little princess with a gentle and calm personality. Sabrina may be shy at first but warms up quickly with positive affirmations and a couple of treats. Once she’s comfortable, she’ll show off her big smile, happily accepting your pets and belly rubs!

Sabrina walks great on leash and is well mannered. She really enjoys being around people and will follow you around. We are just one month away from Pucks & Paws - get your tickets! 🐶🏒

The Cleveland Monsters invite all pooches and their “people” to the 15th Annual Pucks & Paws event at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

The Monsters will face off against the Hershey Bears at 4 p.m. The APL has always been the beneficiary of the dog tickets, and again this year we will receive a portion of the “human” tickets purchased through this special offer!

Warning: cuteness overload! 🥰

Edison had a photoshoot with Robyn White Photography, LLC and he wants to show you - he rocked it! He’s an 11-year-old Poodle looking for a cozy spot to spend his golden years in. Edison may be older but he’s still got it. He likes to keep to himself and may take time to warm up to new things. It’s a big world out there for a 6-pound handsome man!

He’s house trained and does well co-existing with a large and small dog in his foster home. Edison is retired from his play days and would enjoy a calm space. He likes to be around people and appreciates the couch life with his person.

❤URGENT: Dip needs a Valentine’s Day miracle! She has been at the shelter for 1 year today – 365 days of waiting but her heart is still full of hope. Spread the word!

Dip has gone on over 40 field trips with her volunteer buddy, Pam, who has this to say about her: “Every time I go out with Dip, she gets more lovable!” She’s 4-years-old and loves adventure. Whether it’s hiking, visiting pet-friendly stores like Luca's Barkery, walking by a brewery and greeting patio goers with kisses, or going for car rides, Dip is a pup you can take anywhere. Let us remind you that her name is Dip because she loves to “take a dip” in any water, like pools, the lake, or even a fountain once!

Another thing about Dip is she loves meeting new people and will always say hello. She’s extremely smart and is always the life of the party. Dip is truly ready to go anywhere with you and is looking for someone to match her fun energy. And, she’s not afraid to show you her love with snuggles and her signature smile.

They say good things take time, but a year is long enough! Please help Dip find the loving home she deserves.

Control has melted our hearts with his big smile and courageous spirit. Will you help him by being a part of his second chance? ❤️

This 5-year-old Pittie came to the APL as part of an animal cruelty humane investigation. When Control arrived, it was clear that he needed urgent care. Our amazing vet team discovered that he was not only emaciated and heartworm positive but almost limping on his back legs.

Further examination revealed a heartbreaking discovery: Control has torn ACLs in both of his knees. To give Control the second chance he deserves, surgery is his only option. The surgery must be done by a specialist and is costly, ranging from $3,000-$5,000.

None of the pain and trauma he’s endured stopped Control from being noted as the “Nicest boy!” in his medical write-up, proving he’s just so sweet! Please donate today to make a difference and give Control the second chance he deserves!

Meet Alvin, a 4-year-old, buff dreamboat with a big personality and even bigger cheeks! He’s got that “distinguished tomcat” look and loaf like features. If you love a cat with confidence, sass, and just the right amount of attitude, Alvin is your guy!

Alvin is FIV+, but doesn’t let that stop him from doing whatever he wants. He can live a long, happy life with some extra care and can even coexist with other friendly cats. He just asks for a little patience when he’s overstimulated and of course—treats. Lots of treats.

He may give you a little side-eye now, but deep down, Alvin is looking for someone who will let him be himself and love him for it. If you’re up for a feisty, fun, and fabulous feline, come meet Alvin today!

Meet Bangs, a 7-year-old, 14-pound ball of charm with striking panda like features. He’s a big, friendly guy who enjoys gentle pets and treats. Although he enjoys attention, Bangs likes it on his own terms – sometimes he can get a little overstimulated so he just needs someone who understands when he needs a break.

Bangs is positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but don’t let that scare you! With regular visits and proper care, he can live a long and happy life, even with other kitties in the home. Bangs dreams of a home where he can lounge in cozy spots and show off his adorable quirks.

Dobby is the cutest little elf. 🤍

This adorable 1-year-old lady is as perfect as she looks! Dobby is currently in foster and has done amazing in their home. Her tail is always wagging and she’s incredibly loving to everyone around her. Dobby enjoys snuggling and will nuzzle you for love and even give you kisses.

One of Dobby’s favorite things are toys and carrying them around with her. She’s done great getting along with their resident dogs and loves to run around in the yard with them. Dobby is a wonderful listener and very well-mannered. She has a playful spirit but is just as happy to cuddle up when it’s time to relax.
