We've had a few cancellations and are back to seeking additional sponsors, donors, food trucks, and volunteers for our April 5th Inclusive Family Fun Day, if anyone can help. We'd also love to see you there as an attendee. We have 16 pairs of shoes bagged so far! Thanks to the students and staff at Case Western Reserve University and The School of Dancing Wheels for their hard work collecting shoes so far. We can't wait to see this momentum continue!

Just chronic illness things. Checking some numbers, since my health tracker has gone off twice today to tell me that my heart rate was over 150 without exercise, after both of which times I've proceeded to vomit.

We have an immediate need for supplies donations (used or new) and business sponsorships for our April 5th Family Fun Day, as we're hoping to have everything coordinated by early March. It will be very difficult for Zeke to fund everything independently out of their social security, and we truly believe this is an event that could be great for the disability and wider community and for raising money for Zeke's service dog through the silent auction and good will donations.

In a month, Zeke will have to buy the needed Disability-Inclusive Family Fun Day items either out of their Social Secuirty or out of service dog money already secured. Used items are welcome to be donated as well, except for the face paint.

Last week's shoes and 1 new pair in the box at The School of Dancing Wheels. Super grateful for the donation. I'll probably leave those pairs in there and only empty all but the final 2-3 pairs when I empty the boxes. Thanks to all for their generous donations!

I had a productive meeting today with Jim, my fundraising coach from Funds2Orgs/ Shoes With Heart. I'm really grateful that he shares his expertise with me every week. We celebrated the fact that our collection box at Case Western Reserve University's Disability Student Resources is full (to be emptied Tuesday) and talked about some resources he's connecting me to, ways to be more engaging on social media, my Lotsa Helping Hands site, the news interview I'm so grateful to have gotten to do this week, and having me reach out to some runner's groups to see if I can get gently-used running shoes donated.
