Meet Baloo! This smushy hunk might look like a beefy bro, but he's a big softie on the inside. He loves hanging out with his people, whether it's sunbathing out in the yard and snuggling on the couch. He is happy to sit by your side for as long as you're willing to keep petting!

When the world shows him new weird things (such as an unfamiliar flight of stairs or an opening garage door) he looks to his humans for reassurance. He seems like he'll really thrive with a routine. He rides well in a car, knows how to sit politely for treats, and seems housebroken. He has decent leash manners on walks, though does get excited about little critters. With other dogs he has been social, seeming to do better with those who are a little lower-key. Baloo would do best in a home without younger kids for now as he continues to build his confidence about the world.

Baloo weighs 68 lbs and is estimated to be around 2 years old.

Should adoptable Aslan wear his ears up or down? Either way, he's cute as a button!

He is adorable, from his sometimes-floppy pita chip ears, charming underbite and irresistible head tilt! Aslan has a zest for life and he can barely contain his wiggles when he's excited for a walk, play time, or just about anything. He is also enthusiastic about snuggling! He loves to wriggle up close to you and absorb all the scritches that he can.

Aslan has a great moderate energy level: he can be active but once he has a chance to stretch his legs a bit, he settles down nicely and makes an excellent buddy for just hanging out. Similarly, he's been good in play group with other dogs: happy to play, but also content to chill and mingle. Aslan the goober weighs 48 lbs and is estimated to be around 2 years old.

Tootsie is a lovable, happy young nugget. She is consistently easy to handle and sweet as can be! Tootsie enjoys prancing along on her walks, often holding a favorite rope toy in her mouth as souvenir. She's delightfully playful and silly while still maintaining a mild-mannered disposition overall. Tootsie is so cheerful and her tail wags nonstop. She loves people and enjoys taking plenty of cuddle breaks! Tootsie has also been friendly with other dogs she's met in play group, showing a more soft play style. This wiggly good girl is estimated to be just 10 months old, so she's still just a puppy, and she weighs 35 lbs.

Bacardi recently became the longest resident at the Cleveland kennel and we really hope he finds his forever home during the Clear the Shelters promotion! 💙

This sweet boy brings a chill, goofy kind of vibe to the function. He's silly and floppy, and a total ham for affection. He doesn't really know the meaning of personal space, and seems to be happiest when he is leaning against somebody and soaking up pets. Bacardi is a total riot when he does zoomies in the play yards, and he's been quite playful with other dogs too. He also usually keeps his kennel clean, and he knows how to sit - though sometimes he gets overzealous and just flops into a "down" rather than a normal sit. Bacardi has a huge heart, and just a touch of endearing wackiness to be charming. He is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 54 lbs.

Get ready to have a party with Baby River! This adorably freckled little guy is definitely still in his puppy phase. He is exuberant, silly, and lots of fun! This energetic youngster would love to find an active home where he can grow up with lots of love, fun, and games to keep his mind and body active. He's quite playful, and can be very entertaining with toys. He's also bright and receptive to training, especially if treats are involved. And when he's had a chance to burn off some yayas, he shows his affectionate and sweet side. Baby River has also been playful with other dogs, but would do best with other dogs who don't mind his rowdy style. Baby River is just about 1 year old and weighs a scrappy 35 lbs, but is still growing.

Dara is a hoot, but also a homebody, and she is the type of girl who would love to be in her jammies back at home by 8pm. Currently living in a foster home, Dara has shown that she is a great cuddler whose favorite place might just be bundled up in bed. She will even bark to let you know when it's bedtime and she wants a snuggle.

She's not totally lazy, though. She has a nice, moderate activity level, with bursts of silly zoomie energy on occasion. She enjoys walks and hikes, and is working on being a tugboat on leash - she will at least help you up the hills. Her signature move is wriggling her dumpling self around on her back, partly for the joy of it and partly in case you want to give her belly rubs. Dara could be a little timid meeting new people and visiting new places at first, and she's really come into her own and her goofy personality shines in a home environment. So if you too feel like a bit of an introvert and are looking for a kindred spirit, Dara is your gal. She is also good in her crate, and totally housebroken. At around 10 or 11 months old, Dandy is still a youngster, and he has plenty of playful, silly energy to share. He likes to play and explore and would likely enjoy an active, fun-loving household. As Kiva saunters over to you gracefully, her soulful eyes captivate you with their beauty. But when she turns to the side, you notice she’s nothing but a bag of bones.

But that does not diminish her sweetness or her loving nature. Kiva adores being around her person, often following her foster mom around the house. She has a bed next to her foster mom’s and curls up until morning. Kiva is house trained, knows how to sit, stays close outside, and always comes when called. She loves car rides and hops right in. She’s well-behaved at the vet's office, gets along with other dogs, and is gentle with children.

Kiva is just under a year old, currently weighing 61 lbs. Though she still has weight to gain, she’s already looking much better than before. Kiva has blossomed into a beautiful dog, inside and out. She’s looking for a home where she can be included in family activities and hang out with her favorite humans.

Pal around with Jacoby! He is one of those classically friendly, fun-loving young dogs. Jacoby is active and playful, and lots of fun to be with. He is a big fan of toys and could happily play fetch with you all day. If you need a break, he's also glad to self-entertain with a stuffie. Jacob is a bright boy who seems to really enjoy engaging with people. He has also been playful with other dogs so far. But after play time is over, he'll stretch himself out by your side and relax, ideally while receiving lots of pets. He's just around a year old and weighs an athletic 53 lbs.

Clint is the longest resident at the kennel. After arriving in late September as a stray, he has now spent three seasons waiting for his chance in a home. In that time, Clint has enjoyed hiking adventures, off-site trips with the windows down in the back of a Jeep, play time with his favorite toys in the yards, and snuggle time while acting as an office assistant. But, he is waiting to finally have the opportunity to be someone's best buddy in a home! Clint is a friendly, affectionate, athletic boy. He could make a great adventure buddy! He enjoys the great outdoors and would love to join you for regular hikes. He can be strong on leash but doesn't seem too bothered by hubbub going on around him - he just wants to sniff out all the great scents! After a bit of exercise, though, Clint is happy to hang out. If you are working on something from home, he is great for morale and entertainment. One of his signature moves is wanting to show you his prized toys - it's very endearing! He loves to play fetch, trading back and forth between two toys. But his absolute favorite thing seems to be snuggling; he loves being close to his person and soaking up lots of scratches. In exchange, he'll enthusiastically dole out kisses. Clint knows how to sit for treats and seems like he could be housebroken. He's a sweet, earnest boy who could really thrive with some regular activity and a routine... and the chance to finally bust out of the kennel! Did the flash of warm summer weather have you thinking about the pool? Calla, too! This little nugget (with her iconic curly tail) is a budding water dog, apparently. Calla is a sweet, sensitive lady who has been emerging as a playful funster. When she first arrived at the kennel, Calla was pretty shy and took a little bit to figure things out. New situations and people can sometimes still intimidate her, so she'd benefit for a patient home where she can go at her own pace and not have to deal with too much at once. But once she is feeling more confident, prepare for entertaining sillies! When she gets going in the yard, Calla is a little riot with her zoomies and zeal for toys. On walks, so far she has been easy to manage and she seems to enjoy a nice stroll. She is very good about keeping her kennel clean overnight and waiting until she's outside to go to the bathroom. FOSTER | RESCUE NEEDED! Diana has one wish for the holidays. Want to know what it is? She wants to be heartworm free! Okay, maybe two wishes. She also wants to find a forever home. To do that, she needs to get into a foster home so that she can get treatment. What better gift can you give than the gift of life? At 2 years old, Diana has an entire future waiting for her. She loves to play, enjoys being with people and seems to do well with kids. She did great at a recent trip to Pettiti's Garden center and thoroughly enjoyed meeting people and exploring. She would really like the chance to do even more! Who can play Santa's elf? We guarantee she is on the good list! She has already completed pre-treatment. What she needs now is a foster home (through a rescue and the kennel can help connect you). Fosters provide love, care, snuggles and basically follow a care plan which includes a vet visit or two (paid for by rescue) and some exercise limitations for a period of time.
