In 2024 we experienced so many things in rescue

*Eleven dog pull in one day
*If that wasn't enough we pulled a total of seventeen in that same week
*Shaking puppies (toxoplasma)
*Four TPLO surgery
* Six underweight dogs
* 2023 we usually had 25 dogs in our care 2025 we were usually around 40
* Making the news in Michigan because Nelson escaped and we were determined to find him. Making the news again because he was found
*So many found forever home all over the United States and Canada
*Two of our rescue dogs gave blood to save other dogs life
* Countless miles on the road
*Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic literally having on the white board "the Windy Reed special" - it's the basic stuff we get for the dogs. No idea who started calling it that but I laughed so hard
*So many new friends
*Heartaches filled with tears

So many lives saved because of people like you that support Rescue. All of this is literally possible because of donors like you that donate to Newfoundland Club of America Charitable Trust

Congratulations to Mia on her adoption. This girl's new family flew in from New Mexico to Columbus to pick this girl up. They are currently road tripping their way back to New Mexico. Safe travels sweet girl.

Good Wednesday Afternoon

These last two days I have had reminders of blessing. Things that I didn't think would ever happen, weren't possible or just never thought about. I never thought I would ride in an exotic car. I did it wasn't something planned and I decided I never would want a Lamborghini because I felt like I rolled out of it but it was fun. I never dreamed that I would go to Cape Cod and set foot in a fancy house where I felt like I should roll myself up in plastic wrap. Didn't think in a million years FedEx would call because their truck wasn't big enough to deliver the donated dog food people sent to us. Let alone a brand new grooming table and tub show up at my
door.

This year has been filled with a lot of deaths losing Cathy, Ashley, Britain, Roo, Sir Shelton Costly Clark and along with many others. With all the heart aches I was reminded that there are amazing people out and so very kind. When my world was dark and cloudy rays of sunshine came through because of kindness. I am also learning that I can't do everything, I can't make everyone happy and I have to make myself a priority.

I guess what I'm trying to say is never put yourself in a box. Things happen sometimes for reasons unknown and always be yourself because if you can't be your true self around people then why are allowing them a part in your story.

You never know what life will bring your way. Hopefully one day it will lead to me driving a fancy car and more wild stories

Update

The team is working hard on applications. Seriously they are. I don't think they had a break at all this weekend. Please make sure though when they're asking you what medical things you can and can't handle that. You are completely honest. This helps us draw a picture. It helps us match. For example, I could not take a dog with seizures. Doesn't make me a bad person. I just know my limitations.

We will be running a little behind with matching because I am down with the flu. Trust me you do not want this bug

When Dr Hunter sends you a text message saying "This thing is the size of my head". Peggy surprised the staff at Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic with chocolate covered apples. Peggy has a heart of gold.

Little Fester has been at Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic for almost a week. This little love bug has been coughing a lot and I have been bugging Cassie's Whisker Warriors all week asking for updates about him. I'm surprised I haven't been blocked. 🤣 Cassie's Whisker Warriors is a small rescue that is trying to make a difference in meow meow lives.

The majority of their team members are employees at Sugarcreek so of course they deal with us a lot. They are needing donations for this little man. You can do so the following aUz

Trinity (Brown) was adopted from us a few years ago. Her father just started being a foster dad and we are not too sure that she is enjoying the young whipper snappers. 🤣🤣 In all honesty she is doing great.
