Lakewood Animal Control extends its gratitude to Sarah Kepple, President of Lakewood City Council and Andrew for taking the time to tour our shelter and see how we operate.

Additionally, we appreciate their kindness in deciding to give Pumpkin a loving home! We are sure that Pumpkin will be spoiled and live the life she deserves!

Great news to kick off the week! After over 30 days at the Lakewood Animal Shelter, sweet Venus has been adopted!! 💜 So happy to see her find a loving home.

We are beyond excited to announce that Venus was adopted merely 4 hours after posting her. We appreciate all of our followers and your support in sharing our posts. Venus can now have a happy kitty life!

What a beautiful day for the Spooky Pooch Parade! The weather was perfect and all the creativity and fun with the costumes was wonderful. Thanks to everyone that came out and stopped by the CCLAS booth! It was great chatting with our Lakewood friends and seeing all the costumes! We will see you next year! 🎃 👻

Are you a coffee person? ☕️ Meet Java aka “collar # 3520!” This sweet pup cup is about 3 years old and an absolute doll. Java was a little nervous when she first came to the shelter, but she’s settling in now and her wonderful personality is abundant! She’s a great dog and would be an amazing pet!

Thanks to all the Lakewood residents that came out today to Pet's General Store with their sweet pups and kitties for free vet services like wellness exams, vaccinations and flea treatment. We had so much fun meeting you all! And thanks to Pet’s General Store for being such a gracious host! 💜

These free clinics were made possible by ARPA funds designated by the City of Lakewood, sponsored by Councilmembers Cindy Marx and Tristan Rader.

Meet Oliver aka “collar 3542.” This little pumpkin is about 2 years old and is patiently waiting at the Lakewood Animal Shelter for his forever family. Oliver is a sweetheart and enjoys spending his days sleeping, looking cute and snuggling.

CCLAS is offering FREE vet services for dogs and cats at our Wellness Clinic! A wellness exam, vaccinations (FVRCP & rabies for cats and DHPP & rabies for dogs) and flea treatment (if necessary) will be provided.

Also available will be a limited supply of FREE PetFix Spay/Neuter Clinic gift certificates and a limited supply of FREE $250 One Health Organization veterinarian service vouchers.

You MUST be a Lakewood resident and show proof of residency.
