As temperatures climb this week, please be mindful as you're out with your dogs. If you must walk them, do it either early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid burning their feet.

It will stay muggy enough this week to bring the Heat Index numbers up to near 100 every day. Because of that, the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the entire work week: https://bit.ly/3VJdPGd

🐾 Don't forget how hot concrete and asphalt can be for your pet's paws! Get them in the shade and never leave them unattended in hot vehicles.

Tomorrow is the solar eclipse and although it is highly unlikely for your pets eyesight to be damaged, please consider keeping them indoors during the event. They COULD become disoriented or confused by the sudden onset of darkness and may react in many different ways. If you do have them outside please make sure that they are microchipped or are wearing an ID tag & that your contact information is up to date. & remember to wear proper eyewear as you enjoy the eclipse. Let's all be safe.
