We have more exciting research results to share: Dogs fed once a day are smarter, healthier, and may live longer! Read more about these preliminary findings related to one aspect of the Dog Aging Project’s ongoing work at https://conta.cc/3ZYBJjG

The Dog Aging Project, a University of Arizona-led study of the canine “healthspan,” is the largest canine health study in the world. Funded by the National Institutes of Health, the AKC Canine Health Foundation and other partners, this important work is actively endorsed by the Foundation of the CTCA.

The Foundation encourages you to join in the Dog Aging Project. Our goal is to have enough Cairns participating to allow Cairn-specific results to be separated out from the overall findings.

If you join the study, you’ll be asked to provide information on your dog’s health, diet, lifestyle, behavior and so on, as well as your dog’s medical records and the results of at-home behavioral assessments.

We are hosting our 2nd Annual CADASIL Awareness Day raffle to support thinkCADASIL.org on November 16th!

Tickets will be available from September 18th – November 15th and can be purchased at the Pink Dog Parlor or through venmo (I will assign a ticket you in this case)

Tickets are $5 each or $20 for 5. This year we have changed it to allow you to put your ticket(s) toward a particular prize. For example if you buy 3 tickets; you can put one in the Target Gift Card slot, one in PF Chang’s slot and one in the IHOP slot; or you can put all three towards Texas Roadhouse!

Winners will be picked on November 16th and notified asap.
