Meet Me Monday!

Hey guys, my name is Morgan Smith. I've been at the Van Buren County Veterinary Clinic for a little over 2 years now as a receptionist, and currently enrolled in school to become a veterinary technician.

My husband and I have been together for 4 years now, but have only been married since June. We have a beautiful soon to be 6 year old little girl, and we're expecting a baby boy in February!

In my free time, I love spending time with my family whether that be sitting at home watching TV or going on outdoor adventures like hiking or swimming! I have 3 kitty cats, Murphie, Mac, and Grimm. I also have a fireleg tarantula named Pedro whom I do not have very good pictures of.

I absolutely love being a part of the VBCVC family, and all of the amazing people I have come to meet and cases I have been able to experience. I have always been a lover of animals since I was a little girl, and I am truly blessed to be a part of helping animals as a full time career.

Meet me Monday!

Hello, my name is India Smith. I’ve been a vet receptionist at the VBC Vet Clinic for almost two years in March!

A little about me is, my fiancé and I have been together for almost 4 years! Together we have 4 furbabies! 3 cats (Mac, Clem and Ashe) and 1 dog (Sadie Bear)! They are our pride and joy!
In my free time I enjoy being outside with my loves, crocheting, painting knickknacks and pottery pieces. I also love reading and watching tv, dancing and singing!

Meet me Monday!

Hey! I’m Rachel Berk, a certified vet assistant at the Van Buren County Veterinary Clinic. I’ve been happily with my fiancé for close to 3 years and working at the clinic for almost a year and a half.

In my free time you can find me with him assisting him in taking care of the feet of all sizes of equines. If it’s just me I like spending time with my dad, brother and cats, and I also love to crochet 🧶

I started my path in veterinary medicine June 2023. I was a receptionist here until I completed my vocational course to be a certified assistant. Since completing that I’ve been assisting appointments and some surgeries, collecting and processing lab samples and pharmacy tasks, taking care of hospitalized and boarding pets, and filling in up front when our receptionists need a hand. Being here is fulfilling my childhood dream of improving the wellness and quality of lives of our companions. I love my team, our clients and patients 🐾

Happy Monday everyone, we are starting something new on Mondays!

Hello! I'm Kassie Beem, the practice manager at the Van Buren County Vet Clinic. I’ve been happily married to my husband, Parker, for over a year, and together we share our lives with five dogs that we show and compete in various sports. Our animal family also includes goats, pigs, rabbits, miniature donkeys, and more!

I began my journey in veterinary medicine by attending Vet Tech school in 2015, after which I worked in Emergency Medicine for a few years. Afterward, I pursued a degree in nursing, only to realize that my true passion lies in caring for animals. In 2022, I returned to the veterinary field, and it’s been an awesome experience ever since.

In our free time, you can find us enjoying weekends at the lake or participating in dog shows and sports. I absolutely love being part of the Van Buren County Vet Clinic team. If you’re in the area, feel free to stop by and say hi!

It is crucial to prioritize firework safety when it comes to pets! Keeping pets inside during fireworks displays is essential to prevent them from becoming scared and running away. Additionally, ensuring that pets have ID tags or are microchipped can greatly increase the chances of them being returned if they do happen to escape. It is important to remember that more pets go missing on the 4th of July than any other day, emphasizing the need for extra caution and care during this holiday. Happy 4th of July from the VBVC!
