I have a dream, this dream has been very heavy on my heart over the last two weeks which has lead me to start to explore the roads that can fulfil this dream ❤️ Our family has owned horses now just over two years, but it doesn’t take owning these amazing animals long to know how good for the soul they are! I myself ( kayla) have battled anxiety/depression a good 13years and very quickly noticed how much peace was brought to me simply by just being in our trios presence even on my worst days, there was just something about throwing my hands around their necks and snuggling up to them that made every “problem” disappear or every bad day better! The past year of our family’s lives has tested us all in the most traumatic of ways, but one thing remained more apparant than ever before and that’s the magic these animals create , it was their unconditional love and ability to speak to your souls that got us through some of our darkest days, Which lead me to my dream…See When you look up therapeutic
riding (which in our area isn’t something widely available) most places center there services around those who have suffered from some sort of physical or mental impairment, But the magic these animals bring can go so much deeper, we have watched and experienced this first hand! My hope is to create a Equine program that is centered around those that in my Opinion could benefit the most and that’s those suffering from mental health , rather that be due to mental health disease or from trauma the individual has experienced , while my plan is to start with children that have become victims of sexual assault or are suffering from other deep trauma ,my dream is to eventually be able to touch all areas of mental health for individuals that are seeking this type of therapy. So while this is just the first step of this journey , we have many things to learn to get this to become a reality and would appreciate any and all advice that can make this dream come together 🐴💜
