Darcie is here this week for a refresher on her training, and to train with her sister for a week before they both head home. Dakota, her sister, has been training with us this month for the first time.

Saturday when we did our event, Squealin on the Square, Darcie joined us to socialize, and practice interacting calmly with the public. She had the distractions of kids, adults, other dogs, food and lots of noises. We practiced walking at a heel with no pulling on the leash, as well as sitting/laying and not reacting to people/dogs walking by, and remaining calm when approached to be petted.

She did a wonderful job! We are so happy with her progress!!

We are about a week away from our newest litter of labs being born! We are so excited!! Puppies will be AKC Registered, UTD on shots/deworming, and raised with ENS/ENI for development. Parents are health tested and clear. Dad is our hunting dog, and mom is a wonderful family companion. Send us a message for more information🐾

Teal Creek Retrievers and Kennel is a small, family owned business in Laurens, SC. We offer many different services through our facility!

•Boarding: We offer indoor boarding as well as indoor/outdoor boarding in our air conditioned/heated, spacious kennel runs. We allow plenty of playtime and lots of love for the dogs staying with us!

•Home Visits: We offer home visits for our friends that prefer to stay home during the day. We can come to the home 1-3 times a day for playtime, feeding, medications and potty breaks!

•In Home Stays: We are now offering in home stays for the customers that would rather their dog stay at home instead of at our facility. We can also house sit, and keep any other pets as well!

•Farm Visits: We offer home visits for small farms as well as our furry friends! We have experience with cats, chickens, horses, tortoises, and more!

•Grooming: These services include basic baths, brushing, nail trims, a**l gland expressions and ear cleanings.

•Doggy Daycare: This is a great way to socialize your pets as well as exercise them. We have a brand new play area, as well as our previous play yard! During daycare dogs will be able to enjoy group playtime, mental stimulating activities and more!

•AKC Labrador Pups: We breed high quality, genetically heath tested labrador retrievers that make great family and hunting dogs! We are expecting a litter born in November, ready to go home for Christmas.

•Obedience Training: We are now offering our training classes, board and train program, and puppy prep program.

Mental Stimulation with the Pups at 7 Weeks Old🐾 We decided to give our pups the opportunity to do mental stimulation exercises, just like our adult labs. First we did the lick mats, then we tried this with their kibble. We gave them their afternoon meal in different stimulating ways. Slow feeders, muffin tins, ice cube molds and puzzles. The results were great! The pups LOVED it and were ready for a nap afterwards! Follow us on TikTok: tealcreekretrievers

Mental Stimulation We have always done different types of mental stimulation with our dogs here at Teal Creek Retrievers. It’s a great way to calm anxious dogs, tire them out, cure boredom and more! We decided to give our pups the opportunity to do mental stimulation exercises as well! Sniffing and Licking for 20 minutes is equal to 1 whole hour of walking or running for dogs! Since this was the puppies first time, we did a simple lick mat for them. We spread purina puppy canned meat onto the lick mats, and put them in the freezer for a little while.
