✨VACATION TIME✨

While I will be texting everyone to be sure everyone knows, I still wanted to post it here that I will be unavailable for walks, park trips, or boarding for the following dates!

May 25th-May 31st (The last week of May)

July 6th-July 12th (The Second week of July)

Otherwise, summer months are booking up fast, so if you have an upcoming trip, please be sure to get boarding booked with me in advance!

🖤REMEMBERING PIRATE🖤

I was informed today that Pirate, who I walk every Wednesday with her brother Barry and sister Vodka, has crossed the rainbow bridge. She was a a happy girl that loved her post walk treats! She will be missed and it’ll take some time to get used to my Wednesday trio, now being a duo.

✨PRICE INCREASE✨
With an increased demand, as well as other boarders/walkers/pet sitters in the area increasing pricing and after some client suggestion, I will be raising my boarding price by $10, so $60 a day, going forward. I will still do a $10 discount on the second and third dog (if it applies)!

🖤REMEMBERING RIPLEY🖤

I am so sad to say that sweet, happy Ripley has passed away. She was so loved by her family, by me, and everyone who met her and she will be deeply missed. Ripley was just happy to be involved in anything we did and though she was a bit slower than everyone else and mostly deaf, with a few lumps and bumps to spare, her tail never stopped wagging and she always had the biggest smile on her face.

Well that is not how I wanted the rest of today to go.. before I was able to get to the rest of my groups, my Jeep broke down on the side of the road. After communicating with the owner of Island Oil, I was able to get it to the shop so he could look at it. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much he could do as they just do oil there, but I was able to get it running and he said he thought it would be safe to drive home and then get it into a mechanic if I’m still having issues. On the way home, the check engine light came on and it was making a strange sound, so it looks like it needs to go back in.

At the moment, I’m not sure what this means for Fridays park trips as I’m waiting to hear back if it’s safe to drive at least tomorrow and then I can hopefully get it in. I will keep all Friday dogs updated as I learn more!

💨STORM WATCH💨

We are supposed to have bad winds tomorrow, so Tuesday groups may be canceled. No text from me means we are still on for adventures!

I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday and I just wanted to give a massive thank you for the continued support throughout 2023! I look forward to many more adventures with all the pups in 2024!

- We will not be doing any pack walks on December 25th, but we will be heading out January 1st for any Monday dog that is ready for adventure!

- 2024 brings new boarding opportunity! Please remember to request dates at least 2 weeks in advance; however, for your best chance, book at least one month early and as a reminder, holidays book extremely quick.

⚠️ATTENTION⚠️

There is news that the respiratory sickness that is going around is now on the island. It is possible someone did lose their pet to it yesterday morning and I do not have all the details, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Going forward, I will only be using Greenbank Farms (if it’s not busy as the size allows us to keep away from dogs and people) or my own property to walk dogs as neither location has shared water bowls. I have my own personal bowl I bring and it is cleaned between each dog using it. We will no longer be interacting with dogs outside of the group I bring to avoid contact as well. I was already taking these measures, but will be even more strict.

Many of the dogs have already been to the 4 acre property where I live and even though it’s not fully finished, there are trails cut through the woods, along with a space for them to run and wrestle outside of the woods. Outside of adventure trips with me, please be sure you’re avoiding other dogs, keeping your dogs away from shared water bowls, and limiting time at dog parks where the dogs interact, as well as daycares.

We want to keep the dogs safe, while still allowing them to get the exercise and enrichment they all need!
