My Story
From a young age I have always loved horses and animals in general. I feel a deep connection to animals and love working with them and helping them feel better. I got my first pony when I was thirteen, and never looked back. I got my first c**t a year later and trained him myself, he is now my daughters horse and my herd has grown to six. Some are rescues and some I've had since they were yearlings. Last year one of my horses got tangled in a fence, although the cuts healed. The muscle atrophy, from recovery, and scar tissue, affected how he carried himself. I researched therapies to help his muscles recover and deal with the scar tissue. I discovered massage and did a few sessions with him. Overnight, his gait corrected and he started holding his body correctly. I was blown away and started my journey of becoming an equine massage therapist. Its been an amazing journey. Horses are incredibly responsive to this type of physical therapy. Whether the pain is physical or mental, massage is an amazing healing tool. Even if there are no past hurts everyone can benefit from a good massage.
