Special Shout out to Jessica

Jessica joined our team back in 2020 when she was still in high school, and we are so proud that she is currently a student in the Iowa State Veterinary program and are confident that she will be an incredible small animal veterinarian one day. Our clinic has a special place in her heart, and even with her busy vet school schedule she still comes back on the weekends and breaks to help out. She is very hard working and when she puts her mind to something she achieves it. Outside of work and school you can expect to find her spending time with her family and her Frenchie.

Special Shout out to Katy!

Katy has been the groomer at University West Pet Clinic since 1990, so you can expect when your pet comes to be groomed by her that they are in expert hands. We never fail to be impressed by her knowledge and skill, and your pet always leaves looking their best. Additionally, she takes extra time to understand her clients’ own personal preferences in order to make sure your pet is groomed exactly to your liking. She never forgets a pet that she grooms, and you can frequently hear her chatting to them while she works to put them at ease. Dorothy and Jacob are lucky to call Katy mom, and she is grandma to two dogs Bella and Zeus. Spending time with her family is what she treasures above all.

Hannaha has been helping both clinics as a vet assistant since 2022. She enjoys coming to work every day because you can always learn something new. When not at the clinics, she loves going outside with her dogs. She loves training and has even had her dogs enter sporting competitions.

Special Shout out to Denim!

Denim joined our team this year as a veterinary assistant. Denim is described by her coworkers as bubbly and caring, and she always has a big smile on her face that brightens the day of those around her. She loves doting on all of the pets who come through our doors, and you can expect her to give your pet special attention and care. At home, Denim has an adorable Toy Australian Shepherd named Mya and a cat named Skeeter. She is a true country girl with a love of four-wheeling and attending rodeos, and even owns her own horse named Oreo who she loves to ride in her free time.

Kelsey joined our team in 2018 as a veterinary assistant, and was so passionate about quality animal care that she went on to receive her degree from the DMACC Veterinary Technician program. One of Kelsey’s passions is to be a voice and advocate for animals since they are unable to themselves. Kelsey brings a light-heartedness and sense of humor to the clinic that never fails to brighten the day of those around her, and you can expect to hear the sound of laughter whenever she is around. She adores bunnies and even has her own at home, and as such has a special touch with all our pocket pets.

Kendra joined our team in 2024 after a recent relocation. She has five pets at home: two cats, Sophie & Iroh, a ball python, Monty, and two tarantulas, Rose (rose hair) & Jose (Mexican red knee). When coming to work, she loves educating clients, seeing and meeting all the different animals, and the bond she has made with the team members. When not at work or caring for her animals, she enjoys artsy stuff, reading, journaling, hiking, being in nature, tending to her plants, and playing video games.
