Good morning pet parents! Do you know how we test for heartworms and why it's important?! We test by taking a few drops of blood and use a what is called a snap test, which is a rapid test and takes about 8 minutes. It is important because we want to make sure the prevention is working for your pet and this disease can cause major lung and heart issues.
