So proud of all of our crew today!
Desert Plains put in a great show again and we really enjoyed it!
Thanks for judging Robbin Spoon- you’re always so encouraging and it was great catching up.
Mesa loved showing in leadline again.
Kaiowa and Charlie had a great show and we could be more proud of their hard work: winning showmanship and horsemanship, 2nd in pleasure, ranch riding, and reining, and 3rd in trail earning a Reserve All Around for the 12 and U age group!
Lane and Quatro did an amazing job winning another beautiful buckle for the 13-18 age group!
Renee Carter and Rollee did such an amazing job too! This was only their 2nd show and Renee has only ridden her a handful of times and they walked away with Reserve all around in the adult division.

Way to go everyone!

HPH had a very busy weekend at the Amarillo SHTX show. All 4 classes were in one day this show, so this kept up hopping around from arena to arena.

Savanna Bricker and Moonshine N My Blood did well in the VRH Rookie Youth classes ending up with a 2nd in trail and 3rd all around.

Renee Carter and Rockin Step showed in the Novice classes. This team did well in the VRH classes placing: 2nd in pleasure, 3rd trail, 4th reining- and reserve all around for the VRH Rookie Amateur division.

Denise Garcia showed her mare C D Belle in the L1 Novice classes at her FIRST SHTX show yet. We had the pleasure of helping her get to know how these shows run and helping with turn back and cheering her on. This team did awesome placing: 3rd in cow, 5th in pleasure, and 4th in the all around.

Terry Bogle and Mo showed in the Novice SHTX classes after a couple of years off. This team was very successful in the goals they set out to do. The first time to get their entire trail pattern plus placing 5th with a 72.5. Their consistent studying of the pattern really paid off. This team also is very proud of sticking in the middle of the pack the whole show!

Clay Hight on DCC Little Juanita showed in the open division earning a little check back. This team tied for 4th in pleasure with a 74. Proud of this mare for staying quiet in the arena and hauling to gain some experience.

Clay Hight and High Dual Cat showed in the Jr division. This team placed 4th in pleasure, 6th in reining, 10th in trail with some small bobbles and ended up 6th in the all around. Look for this team at the Sweetwater show this weekend.

Look for us at Sweetwater this weekend!

HPH has had a busy and FUN past 2 weeks traveling over 1300 miles (visiting 4 different states) with 4 horses, 2 kids, and a dog. Needless to say we are happy to be home and get back to our daily grind. Thank you to all of the barn help and family helping with keeping the home front going while we were away.

Our trip started out with Bri and Eureka Wildcard competing (along with her awesome team) in Leoti, KS at the
Extreme Cowgirl Competition. Bri’s team made some phenomenal runs with huge highlights: Kaylin Markson and her mare Tug tying for 1st in reining AND earning TOP HORSE award 👏. Kendra Werner sticking it on one super shady steer earning us a spot in the finals. Finishing up with our entire team taking home the 3rd place prize. This bunch of women were referred to as the most supportive (and best dressed) from their adoring fans. 😆. Way to go team Luck of the Draw ♠️❤️♣️♦️

Following KS, HPH headed off to Guthrie to take part in The Gathering by SHTX hosted at the infamous Lazy E arena! So many good runs and good times had during this show- definitely making it a favorite.

💫 Kenna Ellison and Broken Box 💫Bosalito had some hard work pay off showing so much Improvement in the Novice Youth division. The highlight was the trail course! Kyle Ellison

⚡️Savanna Bricker and Moonshine N My Blood ⚡️are getting better everyday. Highlights include earning 2nd in conformation and 3rd in Novice Youth trail (1st in VRH rookie Youth) with a score of 77!

☀️Renee Carter and Rockin Step ☀️showed in the Novice division and had some improvements in many of the classes too. This pair sure make pleasure and trail look effortless.

💥Bri Hight and Eureka Wildcard 💥FINALLY got to fulfill one of Bri’s dreams of purely just riding in the Guthrie trail course. With a rough go in the Ranching Heritage pleasure (logs can be SO scary 😱) this team improved leaps and bounds in reining and cow. Highlights were placing 2nd in reining and winning Reserve Limited Non Pro All Around.

🔥Clay Hight and High Dual Cat 🔥swept the show pulling out a 1st in pleasure, tying for 1st in trail, 2nd in reining, and 7th in cow. This pair earned the All Around Champion in the Jr. Division competing against 20 other very talented horses and riders. “Sonny” is a 2019 (NitrocatXFigure Four 555) Stallion owned by Harold and Donna Anderson out of Amarillo.

It truly takes a village- and we think we have the best around! 🥇🏆 we could not be more grateful to all of the help and encouragement we have received

Next stop is VRH world in Amarillo in June! 🙌
