January is “Unchain a Dog” month, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this will be Meeco’s month to find a forever home filled with love. 💕
Meeco has been a part of the HCAS family for quite some time now, and despite what he has endured, he remains such a sweet soul. He is a healthy, happy, and semi-active boy who brings a joyful energy to everyone around him.
For eight long years, Meeco spent his life on a chain with limited experiences and no freedom to explore the world around him. Since arriving at HCAS, he's discovered the simple joys of life—like his passion for tennis balls and the thrill of tearing apart stuffed toys!
Meeco has learned what love feels like and has grown to enjoy gentle touches and being brushed. He has a special bond with certain volunteers and staff, happily joining them on walks around the trail. While he is not aggressive, he does tend to shy away from others, preferring the company of those he trusts.
His favorite game is Tug, and he loves playing with a rope toy or his leash. The staff has found a clever way to redirect his energy by giving him a toy to play with during walks, a simple solution that keeps him happy.
Meeco has always adored the outdoors, where he feels most at home. He would thrive in an environment with a warm doghouse and a fenced yard where he could truly be part of a loving family. He could finally enjoy the freedom and joy he has always deserved with the right home.
