FMVS will be closed for daytime appointments Thursday Oct 31, and Friday Nov 1st. We will reopen with normal business hours Monday Nov 4.

Due to our goals to set up outreach locations not being met with a need, plus cell communications improving we will resume more normal service this week.

We apologize for so many changes, but this has been a very fluid situation.

We are so incredibly grateful for Calisa Mills Hughes for letting us use her place this week for clients to bring their pets to us!
Starting tomorrow we will be trying to set up in different locations each day to try and reach more clients and their pets.

We are still taking donations for those in need that cannot afford care. If you would like to make a donation you can give us a call!

Stay tuned for updates on where we will be stationed at. As long as roads are drivable we will have one vet on the road doing house calls and one at a base location.

We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and understanding this week as we have had to change up our schedule.

We are ready and willing to help in any way that we can!

We will be set up today at 323 Precious Metal Dr. waynesville NC 28785
You will go up the hill and there will be a brick house on the left.

Our Drs will get there around 11am. They will stay there until at least 3:30pm

And then unless things change we will be there 9-4 the rest of this week. We will be able to do outcalls for non-transportable emergencies! If you come by and miss us please leave a note there, or message with Calisa.

We are actively trying to find a stationary location that would allow animals to possibly be hauled in for our care, or at the least, allow us a way to be located to get word to us where we are needed. We have no cell service, power or water at our normal base.

We would also like to help set up a supply drive if we can be connected with anyone else in the area doing so, or if anyone knows of specific needs we can tend. We are here and want to help our community.

For today and likely the next week we will only be able to see emergencies for sick or injured patients. This will be possible only if we can directly communicate road conditions to ensure fuel conservation and safe travel.

Checking in to say we are all okay. Running starlink off a generator as verizon is very spotty in the larger area (only been able to confirm in a 30 minute radius). Of course due to this our business phone has been put of service as well. Hoping for communication repairs today to know how to navigate and meet needs.

Due to flooding from the storms FMVS will be closed for after hours large animal emergencies. We are without cell service at this time. We will update everyone as soon as we are up and running again.
