Many of you have already seen some new faces at Rustic Scruff - introducing our newest members of our team! 🙌🏼

Dawn has 35+ years of experience & takes great pride in her work & treats every pet with love & compassion. When she isn’t working she simply loves enjoying life including spending time with her kids, grandkids & beloved cat Ronin 🐱

Although Alexa has about 1 year experience under her belt, she shows great potential & works hard to perfect her skills. She is eager to learn new abilities & provide the best care for your pups. In her free time she loves spending time with her son & engaging in activities such as skiing, boating, reading a good book & horse back riding! 🐾

We are accepting new clients & with these amazing additions to our team, groom times may now take longer. However, we are investing in new equipment to help minimize groom times! We appreciate your understanding & are grateful to welcome our new members! 🖤

✨ Happy New Year! ✨

We want to thank you for another amazing year! We had a record-breaking year with so many of you choosing us to spoil your pups, we are eternally grateful 🤍

We are still a work in progress and still change things up but we are always getting bigger & better. Our community supports us so well that we are able to add on more groomers, we are just so proud!

Thank you to everyone who donated to our donation drive this year! We were able to send food and supplies to 3 shelters! 🐶🤍

We'd like to give a huge thank you to Rustic Scruff for generously donating dog food for our pups and useful supplies for around the rescue!

Rustic Scruff is a valued local business that regularly supports our rescue! Not only do they groom some of our dogs, but they also host us for adoption events. At a recent event, we were able to find homes for four of our dogs!! We are so thankful for their continued support and partnership! 🐾❤️

• Dog food - specifically low on speciality foods such as sensitive stomach or senior food
• Large dog clothes (can be used)
• Bully sticks

• Marrow stuffed bones
• Humidifier
• 6ft heavy duty slip leads
• Dryer sheets
• Crib sheets
• Canned dog food
• Cow hooves

⭐️ JOB OPPORTUNITY - Coal City, IL ⭐️

We are looking to fill a part time or full time professional dog grooming position! Please read carefully, as this is NOT a training position.

The ideal candidate must:
• Have at least 1 year of professional pet grooming experience, not including time spent as a bather
• Be able to groom 5-7 dogs per day without bathing assistance
• *MUST* be comfortable and experienced working with dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds and all dog behaviors - able have to lift 50lbs or more on regular basis
• Have excellent time management skills without sacrificing work quality - work in a fast paced environment with a positive and calm attitude
• Be able to keep work areas neat & tidy and contribute to daily cleaning tasks in salon
• Have excellent knowledge of dog behavior
• Provide and maintain their own tools
• Portray professionalism with good communication and customer service skills and be comfortable discussing pet needs with customers
• Lastly, have a passion for this craft and a desire to continue education as care/trends change - able to create a positive grooming experience, treat all dogs with respect and care

Again—this is *not* a training or apprenticeship opportunity. We are in need of an experienced dog groomer!

Commission percentage is based on experience & quality of work & our groomers keep 100% of tips provided by our loyal clientele! W-2 based pay!

We are able to provide flexible scheduling, however, Saturday appointments are highly desired and we would like the new groomer available for every other Saturday OR every Saturday (if desired). All/most holidays we are closed, & we give long weekends for major holidays.

Our employees also get to enjoy an employee discount on retail items in the shop.

We will be taking our time to choose the best candidate! We take hiring for Rustic Scruff LLC very seriously as we keep our brand, reputation, and clientele who trust us at the top of our mind and of utmost importance. This is a permanent position with opportunity for growth, we are not seeking temporary/short-term help.
