On Tuesday we accepted 7 puppies in poor condition from McDowell County (no not the one with the mom posted) on Wednesday a volunteer was notified there was an 8th puppy but this puppy had been attacked by a larger dog. She quickly secured the puppy and rushed it to us. There are several bite wounds around the eye but the eye has not been punctured. The wounds seem to be a couple days old but infection hasn't set in yet. The worm load is so heavy they are throwing worms up. This little pup is cleaned up and started on antibiotics. Last week we pulled a maypop and her 6 month old puppy from the Logan County Shelter. Yesterday while I was running errands she had 7 puppies. 3boys and 4 girls. I think I will name her Lucy because she got some splaynin to do 👀

Diane was not able to pull through. She tested negative for parvo and all parasites. They believe she was septic, possibly from whatever was in the coi pond which included some deceased siblings. Even though she had an upswing her little body just couldn't bounce back and we made the decision to help her cross. Our bill is $264 is anybody would like to help us. I know times are tight but we need community support to continue saying yes.

Tuesday we made our 1st blessing box drop off to a group that maintains several and we will made another drop today. These are canned dog food and cat food. The dog food does not have labels due to the companies (FROMM) policy of removing labels to prevent store returns of donated goods. They will be marked as dog food however. Please take what you can use but remember there will be many in need ❣️

Beginning in November Soaring Hope Animal Rescue Partners-SHARP will be donating some canned pet food to the groups that maintain local blessing boxes. While we know snap effects the humans we are also aware of the trickle down effect and it is more beneficial to help a family keep their pet rather than force them into surrendering to already overburdend shelters and fosters. Please be considerate of others in need during these trying times. If you maintain blessing boxes and I havnt contacted you please message. We can not take individual requests for help as the need is too great and the supplies are limited. Thank you to One Starfish Rehoming Connections for this opportunity to help.

We have had several messages asking if we had any more spay funds left. Our grant for 2025 is exhausted. Thank you to everyone who took the next step to responsible care. If we received puppies from you and agreed to spay/neuter parents please follow up with us as we will honor that.
