The numbers are in. Our partnership with Raleigh County Animal Control was another success for 2025. We accepted 290 animals. This number does not include babies born from the several pregnant mothers that were brought in. Along with this partnership we also accept, when we can, feom the community amd surrounding counties. Thank you to everyone of our fabulous donors, supporters and rescue partners, transporters and fosters. Special shout out to Sammi Cozart and Lovena Stover-Stump who keep the wheels moving spending countless hours transporting. We have already accepted 20 from various counties for 2026 and we have 5 coming today from a.c. please consider a small donation.

We have great news!

Our mine site mama Ophelia and her babies, Lilith the Dobie, plus a few more pups we pulled from the community have commitment and will be heading north to a trusted rescue partner on Monday!

We vetted and health certified 21 dogs today.

Our bill was $265.

Do we have a few supporters who would help us cover today’s bill?

Vet bills are one of our greatest expenses, and we cannot do wha we do without your help!

Miss Sadie is still looking for her forever home.

She is a 10y/o boxer mix. Don’t let her age fool you…she is in excellent health. She requires no maintenance and is the most low-effort dog EVER.

She is perfectly house trained. She gets along great with all dogs that she has met (which in our particular line of work, is a LOT). She is great with kitties as well. She shares food bowls and is just an absolute angel in the house.

Sadie loves to walk and she is perfect on a leash. Still has energy to keep up with an active person, but is also perfectly content to nap on the couch all day as well.

She is wonderful on car rides and she is crate trained.

She would prefer a home without small children. She is not violent towards kids, but she will go hide to avoid the chaos.

She would be the perfect dog for nearly any situation.

Sadie’s lost TWO previous homes because her owners went to hospice and did not return. 😭

Please help us find Sadie a safe spot to live out her golden years. She has been through so much and still is absolutely the world’s bestest girl. 🖤

A Team is Born

Many of you already know us and we can’t wait to meet so many more. We are located in southern West Virginia. We have been involved in rescue for several years now but in 2018 we crossed each others paths and a fantastic team evolved. We only have a handful of amazing fosters and drivers but we hope that will expand as we grow. We are in the process of applying for our 501c3. We hope you continue to support us and watch us grow as part of the best village out there.
