Engraving Your Pet’s Image

I am an Air Force veteran who took up wood burning as a craft and a way to supplement my income during retirement. Well, sometime after beginning this endeavor, I found that I enjoyed doing images of animals as they just seemed to radiate love, personality, and loyalty. Before long I began to notice so many heartbreaking stories of individuals and families that had lost a beloved pet that was the light of their lives. It tugged at my heart as I read each story, and I knew that memorializing them in a keepsake image was something I could do to help owners deal with their loss. Even if that pet is still living, the keepsake captures their one of a kind essence.

My mission has become one of finding those pet owners going through heartbreak over their loss, and just offering my services. In a way, it serves to keep a memorial of their pet always with them.

I wood burn an image on to Birch plywood framed by wood stock that has been flame torched to bring out the wood grain and add an attractive finished touch to the image. It generally is used as a picture or wall hanging that serves as a lasting memory of your beloved pet. The process is simple:

Just send an attractive digital head shot of your pet (3 is even better), then send me a message including the head shot photo, and I complete the project and send you a reply message with a photo of the finished wood burning. If you approve, I will send you the finished project. Usually my cost is around $15 for postage and materials. Anything you can contribute beyond that is appreciated as it supplements my retirement and helps me to go on doing this for others, and it is appreciated.
