Have you noticed these adorable pygmy goats next to the barn when you're picking up hay?? If you haven't, take a look soon because they are looking for new homes! These belong to our youngest daughter, Lyla, who uses the proceeds to fund her 4h projects. We have this one female still for sale. A farm with other goats and/or sheep is preferred. It’s that time of year for feeding more hay in the pastures and our round bales are a great option. They are a 1st cut orchard Kentucky bluegrass mix. Easy to roll out from your pickup bed or trailer.
We also have very nice long stem wheat straw in 21 bale bundles. Easy and convenient loading with a skid loader.
Stop by and check these and other great kinds out before it gets cold.

Loads can be 2 sizes. Approximately 560-590 bales in a walking floor trailer (as pictured), or approx 730 bales in a van trailer.

Happy Independence Day! We are open until 7pm today as normal and someone will be here to help load. We've got some of the best alfalfa and alfalfa mixes we've ever had in our barn!

We have 1st cut Alfalfa that is some of the best you are going to find anywhere. Fine stems and lots of leaves. It really looks and smells like western 2nd or 3rd cut.
4000 bales available, of Cross Bar Farm made, 1st cut orchardgrass. This hay, is 21 individual bales, packaged in a bundle, like a big bale. Easy loading available with a skid loader. Stop by to check out these, and other great kinds of hay.

Seal Coating Update- We will be closed starting at 9am on Friday 5/12. However, the work crew will be here starting to prep the surface at 6:45am on Friday! So if you can get here Thursday...that will be best. Closed on Saturday 5/13 as well. Open for business as usual starting at 7am on Monday 5/15. Thanks for your understanding.

Announcement: Remember the paving improvements we did last spring to help with traffic flow, especially trailer maneuvering? Well, now it's time to get the whole driveway seal-coated to make sure it lasts a long time. Unfortunately, that means we must be closed for a couple of days. Right now the plan is Friday, May 12th from 11am through Saturday, May 13th. Of course, weather and scheduling could change that. We will do our best to keep this page updated and a sign in the barn so everyone can be prepared. Thanks for your understanding and of course your business!

We currently have some of the best hay and straw around. Bright long stem wheat straw, 3rd cut Alfalfa Orchardgrass ( approx 40% alfalfa), and 1st cut Timothy.
Timothy will be $.25 off the regularly marked price till April 8th

We are over stocked with Timothy with two varieties available. One priced at $8.25/bale and one available in 21 bale bundles for $8.50/ bale (these are larger bales at 50lbs).
Great selection of other small bales and large bales. Especially that hard to find 2nd cut grass and orchardgrass.
Shavings are a medium/ small flake blend
and at a hard to beat price!

Growing alfalfa isn’t always easy. It’s a fine balance of having it dry, but not to dry that you knock all the leaves off when you bale it. Alfalfa’s main energy source(protein) is in the leaves so we do our best to keep them. We have managed to get both leaves and dry hay in our last cutting.

Paving project update. The rain overnight messed with plans. The new pavement will be happening Thursday morning now. The barn is accessible today and Wednesday. When driving in just be aware of the spots that have been prepared to receive the new pavement. By Thursday afternoon everything should be accessible again. Thanks for your patience!
