The second week of Urban class on Sundays at 4PM brings us to Ron Jon Surf's Shop in Cocoa Beach. Did you know the customer service desk gives out dog treats? We often hear this from every employee that we see. They love seeing well behaved dogs in the store. The store also has a glass elevator, which the dogs love.

Have you visited Ron Jon's with your dog? Dogs are also welcome at Cocoa Beach Surf Company next door. We've been ending our walks at the new Starbucks attached to Cocoa Beach Surf Company. As for a pup cup for your dog! The employees at Starbucks love to see well behaved dogs on their patio.

The first week of Urban class on Sundays at 4PM always starts at Port Canaveral. It's such a great location for humans and dogs alike. On this trip, we saw a SpaceX launch before our walk finished!

CSTA is holding a Tricks class that is starting on Saturday 2/17/24 at 6:00 pm.

This is a fun class where you and your dog learn tricks.

AKC has Tricks Titles that can be earned, so this is a start towards getting titles if you are interested.

CSTA has moved the start date of the Intro to Scent Work class to Wed. Feb 14th, 2024.

Class starts at 7:15pm and goes to 8:15 pm on 2/14/24

It’s a 4 week class.

Non-Member cost is: $50 and Members: $20

This is a fun class to join. It's not real physical like agility, but its great mental work for the dog. They love it.

Come on down to CSTA and give it a try.

CSTA has two new class sessions starting this week.

Intro to Scent Work starts Wed. 11/15/23 at 7:30 pm. Member fee is only $20, non-member fee is $50 for this class. If you haven’t tried this fun sport, now is the time to give it a try. The dogs love it.

Agility starts a new session on Friday 11/17/23 at 6:00 pm. This session is only 5 weeks long due to the upcoming holidays, so the member fee is only $50 for this class, non-member fee is $75. This is another fun sport to try if you have an energetic dog that needs a job.

If you are looking for a class where you can learn how to take your dog out to dog friendly places and actually take your dog to these places.

We have the class for you. Our Urban class starts this Sunday 10/1/23 at 4pm. It’s a 5 week class that teaches you how to handle your dog out in public.

It is a great class and lots of fun. It is the third and highest level of the AKC Canine Good Citizen program.

Prerequisites for this class are: Must already have a Canine Good Citizen Community (CGCA) award or title on record at AKC; and must have an AKC number of one of 3 types (AKC registration number, PAL number, or AKC Canine Partners number). All dogs, including mixed breeds, can get an AKC number. The reason for the AKC number requirement is that this is how we create titles at AKC; we attach the titles to the dog’s number.

For the first night of class, please arrive early. There will be paperwork to fill out, or you can print up your on-line registration form. Please initial by your electronic signature.

Also, you need to bring bite-sized treats and a bag or pocket to put the treats in. You must wear closed toed shoes.

Well, this certainly looks like a fun gathering I would love to attend! Have you ever been to the Guisachan Gathering? Would you attend?

About every five years, owners and their dogs travel to Guisachan in the Highlands to celebrate the anniversary of the breed’s founding. This year’s edition was the biggest yet.
