OUR HISTORY, OFFERINGS, & CONTACT DETAILS

Liberty-Tree Stable is a small, private, family owned, partial board only stable in the central area of Brevard County, Florida. Having been licensed by the county for over 30 years, Liberty-Tree has the status of being the longest operating stable with the original owner and manager, in the area. A boarding stable and a breeding program that started with

Half- Arabians, Anglo-Arabians, and Thoroughbreds, then changed over to Miniature Horses. The breeding program has come to an end, however the boarding stable continues today under the name Liberty-Tree Stable. When the boarding stable was being designed it was the year 1976. In tribute to the USA’s bicentennial year the name “Liberty-Tree” was selected after Disney’s movie “Johnny Tremain”. The movie told the story of how our American Revolution started with the secret meetings of the “Sons of Liberty” which were held under the town square’s tree in Boston, MA. (For more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Tree )

In time we added the hyphen between Liberty and Tree, due to the fact we were getting so many phone calls for trees. It has slowed the calls down but not entirely. We also get calls for Disney World’s “Liberty Tree Tavern”. There is a farm with the same name in MA, but it is of no relation to us, just coincidental. In the spring of 1978 the stable opened its doors for business. WHAT WE OFFER:

~ Concrete block construction
~ 12' x 12' stalls with storm doors
~ Large individual tack rooms
~ 2 covered wash racks
~ 150' x 250' all-purpose riding ring
~ 60' round pen
~ Tree-shaded turn outs (Horses stay cooler
during summer heat)
~ Trailer parking
~ Friendly, helpful long term boarders
~ Mgr./Owner lives on the premises
~ Located within 15 miles of: Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Merritt Island, Pt. John, Canaveral Groves, Rockledge and Viera

Many thanks to everyone (present and past boarders), for helping Liberty-Tree complete its 45th year of operation. Having made it this far, as a family run business, makes it a very special anniversary. With that being said, we look forward to our 46th year.

Those of you that have dogs and are chipped be aware.

Those of you that have dogs and are chipped be aware.

This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spot? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg - far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders.

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that: (1) the chip is still working, (2) the location of the chip is good, and (3) that the chip info is correct.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet - just have it checked regularly!
