What do you know about f***l egg counts and when was the last time your horse had one?

“F***ls” are one of the most useful tools in a parasite control program. This simple test evaluates fresh manure for parasite eggs; it allows your veterinarian to determine which parasites are present and whether the infection is light, moderate, or heavy. Your veterinarian can then use this information to recommend the right dewormer for your horse.

Here are some additional facts on f***l egg count courtesy of the horse doctors at Black Diamond Equine Veterinary clinic:

The best time to perform an annual f***l is mid-summer so that additional worming can occur as needed. F***l egg counts also help us identify if resistance to wormers is developing on the property.

New horses coming into a herd should have a f***l performed prior to being introduced and should then be wormed with the appropriate wormer.

⚜️Rode Trip is a 2016 AQHA gelding with a great pedigree. Rodey is the kind of horse you can just saddle up and take for a ride. He's easy going, gentle, and kind. Rodey knows his leads and is a gem in the arena. He's great around cattle and has a nice handle. Rodey travels great and doesn't get worked up about anything.

Jackson is a family friendly horse that you can take anywhere. He’s easy to catch, gentle and great to ride out on trails. He’d be the type you could use for ranch versatility as well!! Jackson is under consignment from a good friend of ours.

Price increase. Unfortunately due to a big increase in transportation costs, the Cody Total Feeds need to increase prices. First time in 5 years and we hate to do it but Total Equine is now $28.00 bag and Total Canine is $40.00 per bag. Thank you for being our customer!

Caught up with this cowboy while everyone was in town for The American and Global Cup. He is a true definition of a cowboy and work ethic! We saw every animal on the place and they are absolutely incredible and love thier jobs. We also got to watch as Bobby worked one of his mustangs and it was pretty impressive. Thanks for your continued dedication to your craft and letting us be apart of your journey! Hard work does pay off! 👏🏼👏🏼
