Saada Dairy Goats

Saada Dairy Goats Saada Dairy Goats is a small purebred Nubian herd located in northwestern Wyoming. We will try to help.

Producing more than two dozen GCH and SGCH, and currently, are home to several fourth-generation permanent Grand Champions with more in the wings. Greetings from northwestern Wyoming, where Saada is located, 50 miles from Yellowstone National Park. Laura Evans breeds and shows Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats and Ziggy Ginest has Nubians. With the help of God (and Ziggy and Laura's wonderful husbands) o

ur Nigerian Dwarfs and Nubians are reared on pastures located against the Absaroka Mountains of the Rockies, on irrigated pastures on our separate properties. Since 1986, Saada (which is pronounced Sa-ah'-dah and means "happiness" in Arabic) has productive animals with elegance, good health and loving dispositions that we enjoy. We breed toward long, level, correctly-uddered animals with a level lactation curve of high fat and protein milk. We tend to like strong dam lines and prefer to move our genetics forward by using fairly young bucks, as a rule. Please feel free to contract us by whatever means you prefer with questions, comments or for more information.

Meet our newest Saada addition- Zuzu - my Christmas puppy, just arrived from Lora Kniffen of New Mexico. She perfectly lovely.
We were fortunate to find All Paws Transport to bring her to us in northern Wyoming, despite the bitter weather we’ve been experiencing. I’m so grateful.

We were so happy to finally get to a show after a three-years absence due to illnesses, deaths and Covid. My granddaughter, Mabel and I had a great time show my Nigerian milkers and seeing old friends and meeting some new people. Melinda Butler and Dan Laney judged Saturday and Sunday, respectively. There were six Nigerian herds competing with over 30 milkers.
We brought 6, mostly young does.
Managed mostly 1st and 2nd in age and group classes. Dan gave one of our 2-yr-olds the Grand:)

Charlotte Haughian, one of the three Saada partners, passed away last Friday, June 18, following a 3-month battle with cancer. She continued her love of goats to the end of her life and was involved daily until a few days before her death. How much she will be missed by Ziggy and I cannot be expressed. We will always love her and the times that we had together
