$800 a month for c**t starting, plus board fee.

board options:

A STALL with run and our grass hay/ your supplements fed is $250 if in training ($300 for boarders)

PASTURE rate is $185.

Most horses I get in, I prefer to have in stalls so that I don’t spend 10 minutes catching them out in that good good grass 😁 but if they are easy enough to catch already, no problem. Another thing to consider is If they are easy keepers, aka fatties, they might get fat in the pasture.

Starting 3 fairly traumatized and BUILT young criollos in Argentina. Snorty, stompy and distrusting. The gauchos like to tether em to a pole (palenque) to “halter break them.” One mare has all her front teeth knocked out.

Hi! I’m Alida. Resident horse girl~ at your service for c**t starting and rides in and around Cody.

Location: 6 miles outside of Cody up the Southfork

Amenities: Once acclimated to existing herd, your horses/mules would stay on a 20 acre pasture in winter, smaller pasture area during growing season, stalls in barn also available year round. Shelter, salt and auto-waters in pasture. Supplemented with grass hay in winter.

My approach is simple and based on each horse. Build trust in roundpen and through groundwork exercises/obstacles. Prepare for saddle using ropes. First ride in roundpen, sometimes 2nd and 3rd depending on horse ~~then out around the property and in diamond basin across the street. Introduce snaffle or stay in a halter or bosal. 2 month minimum preferred especially in winter.
