This summer we met Don and Pat, the owners of Season’s of CDA. Not only were they great customers of ours at the markets but they referred us to their head chef Jesse. Since then we’ve been providing Season’s with weekly deliveries of Oyster mushrooms and we could not be more grateful to them for giving us the chance to earn their business.

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in CDA, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but we are in love with the Mushroom and Gruyère Burger 🍄🤤🍄

Have you tried Lion’s Mane (Herecium erinaceus) before? We grow a few different varieties of Herecium mushrooms like Lion’s Beard and Bear’s Head. Not only do they make a great meat alternative because of their meaty texture and rich flavor but they’re also incredibly medicinal. Here are a few facts to blow your mind:

1. Enhances brain function- Lion’s mane is a nootropic that stimulates Nerve Growth Factor in the brain and is a catalyst for brain cell regeneration.

2. Fights cancer- Lion’s mane has been show to potentially slow the progression or reverse the spread of many types of cancer including significantly reducing leukemia cells.

3. Improves gut health- Lion’s mane boosts immune function, encourages the growth of good bacteria in the gut, and reduces inflammation which can help people with inflammatory bowel disease.

This list just barely scratches the surface of the power of this mushroom. If you live in North Idaho you can get fresh Lion’s mane delivered to you every Friday with our subscription boxes!

Growing mushrooms starts in the lab!

Here at Rider Mushroom Co. we use a form of liquified mushroom called a liquid culture. Only 5 milliliters (about 1 tsp) of liquid culture can be used and expanded to grow 100+ pounds of mushrooms! 🍄🍄🍄

One of the most incredible things about mushrooms are their efficiency. They are small but mighty! In our 120 square foot fruiting room we can produce around 100 pounds of fresh mushrooms every single week of the year.

✨The fruiting room is a high oxygen, high humidity space. We give the mushrooms what we think they’ll need and let them do the work!✨

A HUGE thank you to for the beautiful photos!
