A sweet English baby has started to open its eyes š
This group is just oh so adorable š„° I could watch them all day.
Unfortunately the internet was out for the first 5 hatchlings and I didnāt get any footage of it ā¹ļø. I did capture the 6th egg hatching. He came barreling into the world š¤£. WE HAVE CHICKIESš
Someone needs this sweet boy. Heās ready for his new home š
Roger has passed awayšš. He was improving the first couple days. He wasnāt lethargic and he started to eat greens. Thursday night he went downhill and Friday he passed. Iām heartbroken Roger was the sweetest young Buck.
All my bucks were going through penicillin shots as Koa went to the vet and was given medicine for vent disease. It was recommended by many breeders and the vet that I treat all my bucks, since they all live next to each other. Everything was going very well they were all given probiotics during this time. Koa has finished his treatment and now free of vent disease, he is happy and doing great. Creek went through the treatment very well with no issues. Rogers treatment went very well until 4 days after his last dose. He had stopped eating and thats when all this happened. I tried everything I could for him at homeš.
I will not be selling any rabbits for 30-60 days to ensure they are healthy and free of disease. Iām in distraught over Roger I never wanted to harm him and had his best interest at heart š. I wanted to do what was best for my herd and to ensure my buyers receive healthy bunnies.
Itās been a very hard journey starting out and finding reliable breeders. Not many breeders make tough times like this public but I am honest about every rabbit I sell and owe it to my buyers. I will be taking a step back for a little while. Will possible be back to having litters by fall depending on the circumstances. I really appreciate all the love you guys have shown towards my herd. Hopefully we can come back a little stronger in the fall. But for now we will be taking a break and some time to reflect and grow.
**This is in no way the fault of the breeders that I bought Koa and Roger from. Unfortunately things happen like this thatās beyond what we can control. **
Thank you to Abby at AEW TLC Bunnies for allowing me to have Roger. You did so great with him he was such a very special boyš I was really hoping he was gonna ge
Lastly is our boy Gonzo out of Rose x Creek. He will most likely be sold as pet as well. I donāt feel like heād be a good breeding prospect. Shall see how he develops. Seems like he may have a tight crown. Heās been inside for a few days and his ears still donāt wanna go down. Although his hips look pretty decent the way I posed him, he does seem to have narrow, pinched hips. The bunnies wonāt be posted available until 3 months old! So stay tuned they will all be reevaluated at 3 months but itās looking like so far heāll be pet home only.
Hereās Georgia out of Fern X Roger. I think sheās gonna turn out a lot like her momma. Still on the fence with her we shall see how she looks at 3 months old. She may be a holdbackā¦. Just like Fozzie it seems they have the same hips not horrible but slightly pinched.
Here is lil scruffy Stuart Little. Born January 31st, 2024 out of Fern x Roger. He is such a goofy looking guy. He is not show or breeding quality! Stuart needed to be syringe fed at 2 weeks old. He wasnāt able to suck milk from his momma. Heās very delayed but doing very well and no health concerns. I am not entirely sure if he is a fuzzy or not. His fur feels woolly to me, I havenāt had a baby with this kinda fur texture. It also mats easily and will need more maintenance. Maybe itāll go away and he will have normal Holland fur as an adult. But Iām not 100% sure. He loveās attention and is the sweetest lil guy. Heāll be looking for an indoor pet home by April 27th!
Getting some vids posing the babies today. This is Fozzie (black tort buck) out of Rose x Creek. Heās looking somewhat decent considering selling him with a ped. He should be a good brood buck. Iām loving his head and ears. Heās such a sweet guy. He may have slightly pinched hips but they arenāt narrow, decent width in his hips. He will be available April 27th at 3 months old! Heāll be dewormed and given coccidia preventativeš
(Note: Iām still learning posing and show terms so I apologize if I say something incorrectly!)
