As dog and pet lovers, and supporters of the South Shore, the Montgomery family had a vision. This vision was to open a community based pet store selling toys, treats and healthy food choices for dogs, cats, and small animals.

Hurricane Helene hit hard. The devastation is beyond our comprehension. Whole towns in the mountain areas and along the major rivers between Greenville, SC and north of Asheville, NC and to the west are gone. Animal shelters have been swept away. It's time for the Annual Cohasset Pet Parade and Costume Contest!!!

Thursday, September 26th from 2-5 at the Cohasset Farmer's Market on Cohasset Common.

Giveways, dog treats, JB’s frozen pup cups, Costume Contest and Parade around the Common. This year's feature activity will be a DRONE PHOTOGRAPH of all of the pets and their handlers assembled together just before the parade kicks off. In past years, we've had more than 100 dogs, cats, chickens and bunnies participate.

Parade kicks off after 4:30. Great prizes for:
Best Small Dog
Best Large Dog
Most Creative
Most Humorous
Best Duo
Best Group
Best non-canine (cat, bunny, chicken, gerbil etc)
Best in Show

This is perhaps the happiest, most festive, and sweet small town events of the year, set in the backdrop of the most quintessential Farmer's Markets in New England!

Rain date is the following Thursday, October 3rd. Grey skies and a shower will not postpone, but a pretty certain rainy forecast will. Last year's weather was GLORIOUS!!!
