Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️

It’s a wonderful day to celebrate and shower our loved ones with sweet treats and kind words. However, for our pets, many of the wonderful gifts we give to each other on this day can be dangerous to them.

Remember to take extra precaution and keep these hazardous and potentially fatal items out of reach from our beloved pets. We hope everyone has an extra special day today! 😊

AVC Pet of the Week! 🌼

This is Daisy and she did NOT have a fun 1st birthday party on January 3rd.

She was seen for vomiting and not wanting to eat due to a sock stuck in her colon. Not just once, but twice! Yes, she is a repeat offender for eating her parent’s socks! 🫢

Luckily, she didn’t need surgery either time! After a few prescriptions and plenty of IV & SQ fluids she was able to pass the sock naturally the first time, and the second time with manual assistance from Dr. Nate.

Per Daisy’s mom here are some fun facts!
Things she loves:
Socks (of course) 🧦
Balls 🎾
Tormenting her older sister 👯‍♀️

Things she hates:
When her sister won’t let her have her treat 🦴
Loud noises 🔊
Being told no 💢

Everyone meet Onyx! 🦴 🖤🦴
Onyx is a 6 month old Pitbull who was seen for a sedated nasal exploratory due to his continuous sniffling, sneezing and nasal discharge. Dr. Nate and Morgan are pictured with Onyx to get a closer look into the nasal passage to see if we could locate a possible forgein body causing his symptoms. After a thorough nasal cavity flush, Onyx was back to his puppy self and is feeling much better!
